Just been sacked by Forest apparently, bit bizarre after a 4-2 win over Leeds.

Might mean a bit of confusion over McGoldrick though for Forest, don't know if good or bad to be honest.

Might also mean a manager who has only lost 1 match in 11 could be on their Shortlist...

Probably bad as he was set to let McG leave-a new manager may well have different ideas.

Think they are looking for a "big-name" manager with Prem experience before th transfer window, so will already have him lined up and his big money targets, think even more likely that McG surplus to requirements there now.

One point off the play-offs and sacked?

Be somebody like Sven come in and fuck it up for them.

Modern football owners and the manager merry-go-round: they make no sense.

Was O,Driscoll apointed by these owners or before they took over?? Seems a bit harsh but if you are going to get rid of a manager timing is right. Says that they are looking for a young manager with premier league experience. Must be someone who is available straight away like Mark Hughes.

We used to worship a manager who only ever won 1 in 11.

Appointed by the owners after "players asked for O'Driscoll" (ironically after other 'big name' bosses were 'ruled out'.....)

not a good thing imo, regardless of the stature of the manager who comes in, he's going to see McGoldrick: 16 goals in 21 games, he'd be daft not to recall him, if only to see what he's all about.

Al Hasawi, the Forest Chairman, has tweeted he's been in contact with a Premiership manager tonight and meeting on Thursday. Surely a manager currently in charge of a Premiership club wouldn't think about managing Forest at the moment!

Why would you make it public knowledge if you have ? I hope they sink like a lead weight after the chairman meddled.

Major faux pas by forest, IMO.

Good win today, well placed for a playoff push second half of the season, players doing well for the manager, compared to last year - where were they!?,

According to their owner, they are after a manager with premiership experience.....well, fine if you re there already, but not maybe the best way to get out of the championship....ask Sven....oh hang on, I'll pop next door and check.......

In terms of DMG...hmm, well,, like one poster said above, a top manager would be daft if he didn't take a look, so that would be a recall until the contract runs out...unless, after an early look, he decides to release him or reloan him back to us? If they do recall him, then decide lat the end of the season that he isn't good enough, we might get him then, albeit too late perhaps?

Regarding the manger, can't see it being Sven,; maybe Hughes is a good shout...who else is free?

Fingers crossed, boys, this is one scenarios that we had not anticipated !

I have a feeling it will be Roy Keane (managed Sunderland in PL) ex Forest player might win over a few of the fans...even though his managerial record is hardly brilliant

This post is about Nottingham forest C J. Not Forest Green Rovers - not that they would touch him with a barge pole either.
