I love O'Brien's commitment etc. but against Bradford I thought he was out of position for most of the game and just got in Barton and Fleck's way?

I hope he doesn't start. Barton did very well on Saturday and the team needs to keep its shape. O'brien running around like a headless chicken won't help us.

Barton would be unfortunate to be dropped from the winning side. But he's not a RM. But then again, OBrien tends not to stay out on the right, which Adam did, so not sure which way to side!

He has looked poor since we went back to 4 at the back. Realistically he's now dropped to 4th choice, behind stokes, Johnson(when fit) and if he was fit Pugh.

It's disappointing how he has regressed.

I would be surprised if Pugh and Reda are here after the summer.
Haynes will become our long term left back. He will suit Mowbrays footballing philosophy.

I agree they won't be here, and haynes may very well become our first choice next season, but at present he isn't performing, which is why stokes was brought on and TM is playing him, and why we're looking to bring in San Ricketts. We're in a relegation scrap, we need to play players that we know will do a job, both SP, NMc, and TM have overlooked Haynes in a back 4.

And I like the lad, he's another one that should have been sent out on loan when he lost his place.

I'd seen enough of Haynes early on to see he could be a decent player in the future, he just looked totally bereft of confidence as time progressed.

I agree don't have him sitting there doing nothing. Have him in league 2 on a 24 hour recall.
I think the relegation scrap bit is stopping him playing. However Stokes has been fatiguing and costing us goals so I would rather Haynes regains his form

No I was right first time. Haynes is a Championship player now just as much as it was good for CCFC to sell Wilson. And only a lunatic would think it was a good move.

Haynes isn't presently a Championship quality player. It was never good for CCC for Wilson to be sold. And anyone who thinks differently is a lunatic.

We do have lunatics on here though.

Which goals?

Sheffield United - had already gone off before both goals
Mk Dons - baker dribbled passed out phillips at right back
Barnsley - a set piece, pretty sure barton admitted to it being his man
Port Vale - can't be blame for first, 2nd He was left 2v1, then when he pressed the ball the midfielder didn't go with marshall, 3rd JOB gives away free kick
Bradford - martin gives away freekick
Chesterfield - can't be blamed for either goal.

And yes, I've literally just watched back all the highlights.

Personally, I think Haynes has got every chance of being a very decent player. It seems fairly well accepted that young players go in and out of form, and key to them progressing is to take them out of the firing line when they're going through a rough spell. When the pressure's off, maybe next season, I'd hope to see him back in the side.

That's not true so let's ignore that.

As for Haynes he will struggle to make a career as a low level league one player at best. If you actually analyse his game he really isn't very good.

Perhaps under Mowbray he can be worked on and loaned out next season but now he'd be a complete liability it the team.
