O’Hare has to start. Westbrooke has been decent but O’Hare belongs in the championship and shouldn’t be on the bench for us.
Thoughts?

Don’t get all this at all.

Great team performance today. O’hare wasn’t anything special v wallsall in tin pot when he last started for us.

Don’t get me wrong, delighted we have him, delighted he did well v Blackpool when coming on and delighted he’s a option for us, but I don’t think it should be Westbrooke v o’hare

All that said, suspect he will start on Tuesday, why wouldn’t he, will be 2 games in 4 days, time to use the squad

Wimbledon haven't won a game and haven't got a point on their travels.
Surely we have to go on the offensive and for me that means sticking O'Hare in from the start.
But MR knows what he's doing so if he sees fit to keep him on the bench so be it.

The only thing of note from that game was that Walsall were kicking him about, because he was clearly the biggest threat and kept getting on the ball. He can’t do it all when being targeted like that.

Dont disagree he can’t do it all, but he wasn’t even MOTM.

Delighted he is with us and no doubt he will start on Tuesday, but we are top of the league, no need for a “has to start” thread

For me he has to be in the front 3. Leave the midfield 3 as they are.

I'd rather see him start left wing instead of Hiwula.

No one should be confident about playing a team like Wimbledon after the Bolton horror show.

Wouldn’t have beat Blackpool without him coming off the bench, likely would’ve won today if he started, he gave us a great chance to beat Oxford off the bench. He makes the team better and therefore should start.

Bolton are threatening the integrity of the league as they are clearly not competitive. We played them at the worst time possible. A home match people doubted would happen, team geed on by a big and vocal crowd, loads of media coverage, sympathetic ( or crap) ref one goal or one pen allowed and they would have folded. If they have the funds that to strengthen in January anyone playing them after the could face an entirely different proposition.

It does seem like we took the one game they could manage at this intensity and have just softened them up for others and in the process harming our own GD in relation to everyone else (albeit they do now have a lot of different players).

You mean like us at home later in the season? But I do see your point and we missed out chance to take 3 relatively easy points with help from the officials.

The game was the back and forth type of game he excels in, when he’s able to pick the ball up, run at the opposition and make a good decision in the final third. When he came on he made us more dangerous and would’ve been our best chance at creating a goal if he had 90 minutes.

O’Hare’s speed of thought makes him the most dangerous and creative player we have. He sees the opportunity to turn or let the ball run and can thread a good ball through a tight defence.

Shipley for me is the one id leave out. He still doesn't offer a huge amount for me. Westbrooke has a better goalscoring threat and creates more.

Westbrooke and Shipley are plodding along nicely we are top of the league with them in the team O'hare is brilliant to bring on as a sub with his energy against tiring players Robins is absolutely doing the right thing atm so keep it as it is for the time being.. or would we rather weaken the chance of a sub with either Shipley or Westbrooke coming on?

It would be fresh legs to shore up a game then rather than a sub coming on to win one.
Ohare got 30 mins yesterday and showed why he’s so escorting and without the rugby tackle would probably have won it for us. I’m with you don’t change it too much. It’s interesting that robins talked about not wanting to bring Eccles or max on as clearly he was thinking about it and also that he takes westbrooke off each time for ohare and not Shipley and then he talked about Shipley and Walsh being very tired in the second half .

Liked the interview after the game

Don’t think O’Hare is 100% fit yet for a full match yet, got an knock v Walsall, noticed when he took his shirt off yesterday there was some sort of strapping round his shoulders, I’d leave it as it is for Tuesday and then there’s a break of 11 days for him to get 100%

Robins knows what he is doing - He is gradually giving him more minutes with each league game until he is up to speed - came on after 60 odd mins yesterday when previously 70 odd minutes - will start a full game shortly might be Tuesday

If Westbrook is so poor, and Shipley not our best option, and Hiwula in and out, and Jobello not yet up to speed, how come we are top of the league?

Are you sure the strapping you saw wasn't one of those GPS monitors?

If we were playing 4 in the middle then I’d be happy but my gut feeling (admittedly based on limited match time) is that he isn’t the type of midfielder for a 3. We need a playmaker (Kelly / Walsh) and two endurance runners either side.

I’d rather see him buzzing about in the final 3rd and not having to worry about tracking back to his own byline. Robins plays him in the midfield 3 though and he knows more than me, so whatever :-D
