Absolutely disgusting

Him and Dabo are the best players I can remember playing for us. Such good signings and hope we can hold on to them for a while

O'Hare gets a lot of respect from me for actually joining us. He could have taken up another offer on more cash but not been first choice, he's an amazing asset for us but I think his career in the long run will be better for making this move to us and getting game time in a system that suits him and a manager that trusts him.

It also helps that he already seems to have got better.

Totally agree, very refreshing attitude from Cal.

You only need to look in the QPR dugout to George Thomas to see how taking the biggest offer can easily backfire and cause your career to stagnate. I’m sure his stock would be much higher if he’d been part of our journey from League Two to the Championship, rather than playing for Leicester’s kids.

Been our best player overall so far. So lucky to have him as our player (not just him, but this threads about him!). Agree with LG, he gets a lot of respect for going for football rather than money... and he obviously loves playing here. Great goal tonight, very happy for him.

Outstanding performance from O'Hare tonight. Skill and great effort combined.

I was surprised QPR signed George Thomas. I am not convinced he is anywhere near Championship standard.

Sounded like he was getting whacked a lot again tonight.
I think if I were MR I'd be laying a few briefings out in the media to get pre emptive .

Really impressed with his second half game yesterday! Looks a real talent and so glad we signed him (still not sure how as I'm sure he'd have had better offers!!)

The control he showed just before the goal with that deft touch was superb

I think its going to happen alot.
I read a stat the other day grealish was the most fouled player in the prem last year.
Defenders get scared when he will be running at them or past them so will try to hack him down. "Take the foul" so to speak but what we do need is for the ref to actually give the fouls as there was at least 3 or 4 times the lad got pulled/kneed in the back and nothing was given to him.

He’s got a good whiney face too!

He absolutely made the right choice for his career. Pretty sure he could have played a part in any championship team this year but probably not as one of the top 4 players in the side.

What I love is not the silky skills or runs off the ball but his tenacity to tackle back to bust a gut in the right back position at 93 mins in to block a cross.

He will play at the highest level

Still can't believe Villa let him go. His tenacity alongside ability sets him apart from many other young lads we've had in the last 10 years.

He has got better and better since last season, he’s gone from being an excellent impact sub to being a starter, his commitment to the cause is also refreshing - signing him permanently was a real coup.

We all know full well that club has an excellent track record of developing players and providing them with a platform to elevate their careers. O'Hare and his advisors will have inevitably factored this into the decision making process before signing on the dotted line. Perhaps it's bias speaking here but, I genuinely believe that as a young player there aren't many better clubs, or managers to work under in the Championship to develop their game.

You only have to look at case studies such as McCallum, Hyam, Bayliss, Shipley, to see first hand how good Robins and his backroom staff is at improving raw players and making them better.

I'm certainly excited to seeing how O'Hare performs over the course of this season as just from the first two games you can see that he looks like he's taken his game to another level.

Absolute quality, the sort of player that can transform a good team into a very good team, reminds me so much of a young Kevin Keegan, tough as teak always buzzing about In the faces of defenders and deceptive skills I know we all wanted Liam Walsh here but of the two O’Hare is the better, both would nice though.

Alternatively, Thomas would have stagnated in League 2, not been a regular in League 1, and now be plying his trade for Northampton.

Anyway, the fact O'Hare wanted to come back after a loan spell reflects well on the management setup we have here. Got to be good for us.

The second he gets the ball some might happen - I also can’t believe we have him - fortunately he seems a tough type ( Grealish is the same)

Out of all the fouls on him last night only one was given I think but it didn’t put him off. A bit like the club more generally

This is what sets him apart for me... I bet there are plenty of creative players of his ability in the championship who go unnoticed in most games because they dont have enough aggression and bravery to make things happen. Its so rare for a player in his position to have both.

The flick by O’Hare before the goal was fantastic but his celebration seems to have been under appreciated.

Paid homage to three Cov iconic celebrations

1) the standard knee slide
2) the Robbie Simpson face plant as the knee slide comes to an unexpected sudden end
3) rescued with a really deft Robbie Keane forward roll.

my hat is tipped.

It’s more likely Thomas would’ve done well for us in League 2. I’m surprised he got a move to QPR because he hasn’t done anything of note since he left us.

Then again, most of us, including myself, expected Ben Stevenson would have got more game time in League 2. We did well to get 500k for him.
