This fiasco just points to everything from Sisu's point of view riding on the JR.

In Fisher's interview in The Dail Maily, dated 26th July, 2013; Fisher stated: 'Once we have agreement on a site, we will begin a consultation process with our supporters because we want this to be their home'.

So, why are we now entering this 'consultation process' without agreement on the site? That's clearly not the order in which things were promised; and does look frankly farcical, doesn't it?

It's just another example of a Fisherism*:

Fisher: 'Both those councils instantly see the benefits.'

Council 1: Rugby Council: 'The representatives of Coventry City Football Club were informed that the proposals were unacceptable to the council.'

Council 2: Nuneaton and Bedworth Council: 'I can confirm that an enquiry has been made by a developer to council officers, however this was of a very speculative nature and at an early stage. Since that initial exploratory contact we have received no further approach and we are therefore not considering any proposal for any particular location.'

*Fisherism - noun: an example of mischievous distortion of the facts in order to mislead, e.g. 'We've paid £800k rent' when in fact over £500k of that rent came from an escrow account.

:thinking about:I just hope the FL (and ultimately the FA) aren't taken in by this as much as some of the posters on this thread.

The reality is Robo they aren't anywhere near the beginning of building a new ground. It's ludicrous to have done what they have done to the club before they had the land in place.

Unless of course they really have a different plan? Wonder what that is? Distress ACL?

I did say this before, what's the end game? Is the Arena or something else.

I accept they're nowhere near building a new ground.

I hope that anyone attending the forum will make the point that there is no purpose having the discussions until (like never) there is a clearly identified site where there is at least exchange of contract on purchase. Then walk out and leave Ms Garlick to clear up the coffee cups.

Once again, it shows we are just being fed spin and BS by Sisu.

That would be great if they did, but don't forget they are season tickets holders.

Come on guys, get some balls and put up a fight !!!! (and similar for the ladies)

They hardly said no to be fair, rather that it was just an enquiry rather than anything concrete so they're not taking it too seriously at the minute.

If the club wants some credibility in this whole thing they need to make clear it is what they're doing; we're apparently building a new ground yet they're still flirting with the idea of returning to the Ricoh if they can get a 100 year lease. Well we can't do both, they need to say once and for all this is the route we're going down. The whole thing is doing my head in to be quite honest.

Nowhere near is an understatement. They have done absolutely zilch.

Unfortunately, the FL have been spineless in all this (was going to say complicit, but thought that may be a bit too far). Surely they must have been sceptical about the nw stadium stuff, and if so should be monitoring the situation. I wouldn't expect them to speak publicaly on this, but I doubt they are doing anything of the sort. This is the bit that frutrates the most.

As much as I agree with you, another Fisherism springs to mind: 'We've moved on....'

The whole 'we can't say where it is' thing has never stacked up to me. I've never heard of a football club planning to build a ground and not telling anyone where they're thinking of. I could list of various sites Pompey, Southampton and Brighton have been interested in. If people can name places where stadiums were planned but never built how much chance have we got of getting one built somewhere noone will even name!

Never intended to either, it just buys them time to distress ACL longer. A picture and a few Mickey Mouse forums should keep people happy?

Typical SISU underhand tactics.

I hoping / guessing that even those who have been most supportive of Sisu until now will be shocked by this latest sham. (Oh dear, time for my next realism pill.)

After tonights meeting Sisu will go to the football league and say the fans are all behind the new stadium location. In reality all the season ticket holders will have done is look through some colour charts !!!

Nuneaton ' they spoke to us we thought it sounded interesting we never heard from them again'

We spoke to Nuneaton council and we were really interested however we got a feeling that somehow Coventry City Council would have pulled some strings and scuppered it all.

We were deadly serious about building the stadium in Nuneaton, we really were. However this Coventry City Councils fault.

So as oppose to actually attempting to get planning permission we just left it at that.

I have feeling we may hear similar again

(HOT) Higgs never to be heard again

Hand shake on rent then a renege.

Those who have purchased season tickets at Northampton and are going tonight its time to stand up and be counted.
They have spouted support the team and not the regime all season, well tonight's the night to prove that.

There are two simple questions for them to ask tonight and whatever other fans' views of those who go to Northampton may be, they perhaps above all others deserve a full, proper and honest (ha ha!) response:-

1. In light of the FOI responses and the N&B press release / statement, who is lying - the local authorities or SISU / Fisher?

2. When Fisher told supporters at the forums in May that the location and plans for the new ground would be announced shortly was he; a) lying, b) allowing his mouth to run away with him or c) posturing which is not that much different to a) really

They maintain they have been in negotiations with 2 councils. Well even if we allow them N&B who is the other (unless the authorities have lied in their FOI response which could have serious consequences)? Shropshire? Derbyshire? Nottinghamshire? Leicestershire? Northamptonshire? Gloucestershire? Devon??!!

In fairness, I do believe Fisher applied for planning permission to move his mobile home from Honiton to Teignmouth bay; and therefore he has been negotiating with Devon council. Quod erat demonstrandum, the great soothsayer spoke, and so it transpired
