True story,my friend was a prison officer at Gartree and Charles Bronson was on his wing....I once asked him if Charlie was the hardest prisoner in Britain...he laughed and said he's not the hardest on the wing let alone Britain.

Think for me would have been Doyle (but that’s completely nostalgia).

A bit of an old fashioned view that one of the coaches needs to be a nasty bastard.

Why ?

who is the Nasty bastard at Man City or Arsenal or West Brom or Blackburn or Birmingham etc etc … These clubs are all doing well with young hugely over paid but talented players.

The days of young players upping their performance through fear of the management are long gone ….

The reason our press didn’t work on Saturday wasn’t the lack of fear it was because it had been set up incorrectly.

Ths reason are attackers are missing chances isn’t because they are not worried about the half time rollicking, it’s about composure and technique.

To be fair watching the Man City and Arsenal documentary’s, feel like both managers have a nasty streak in them.

I don’t think it’s a nasty streak per say but feel like we have no one who demands standards are raised at the time either in the squad like Faz or on the bench like Adi.

Like the pressing we saw against Swansea for the second goal when people are just jogging. While that squad shouldn’t have been out, the effort to get into shape and press when needed was nothing like any squad we’ve had for two years.

If Faz or Adi was there they would have been going mental. Think we said it about Doyle in League two that he desire to win, pushed everyone on, not sure anyone is showing that desire.

Don’t get me wrong, imagine Robins lost his head in the dressing room, but didn’t seem agitated on the touch line when I was watching and he’s always given a calm demeanour on the touchline which might not always get the point across in the moment.

If Mark Robins ever decided it was time to go, and yes it would be his decision. I think Rosenior, Corberan, Rohl would be good appointments. But I also wouldnt mind Valerin Ismael

Wasn't it Boothroyd or Coleman before Andy Thorn?
All the managers from that period of history just merge into one big blur for me

Far as I remember, it was Coleman, then Andy boothroyd then Andy was the caretaker before he got the full job.

Ahh, I didn't realise they were a double act!

Thorn joined Coventry City as chief scout before becoming caretaker-manager alongside Steve Harrison after Aidy Boothroyd's departure. Coventry enjoyed a successful close to the season under his leadership, losing only one game against Middlesbrough. His first game as the official manager of the club was the final home game of the 2010–2011 season against Reading.

Only lost one game? Bring them back Doug!

Decent list although have doubts on Ismael after his last few jobs. Rosenior wouldn’t be available tho since he’s just got a new job in France.

Also wonder if we would be happy to pay the release for Corberan or Rohl but think both are decent choices with Corberan being imo the best manager in the league. Although imagine corberan moves to the prem soon.

The suggestion that we have a crap goalkeeping coach in charge of defence training is a pretty big concern too. Yet we have a sleep coach in place?

Missing chances is fine, giving a shit and making the effort to create them is where some reminders are required.
