For anyone wanting to watch the playoff matches who doesn't own sky sports.

You will need NowTV (if wanting to watch legally within the UK)

Currently on NowTV website you can buy a week pass for £13. You can buy the same pass on NowTV's gift card site and Currys as a gift card for £10! So spend that extra £3 on a beer.

There is a whole list of devices that works with nowtv.

Playstations,Xboxs, IOS, Samsung and LG smart TV's but some of them don't allow sport so please check before hand.

NOW TV Gift Cards – Get Entertainment, Movies & Sports

NOW TV Sky Sports Pass - 1 Week

When signing up to NowTV you can also use the free trial for Movies, entertainment and so on. But make sure you cancel the pass so it does not charge you after the trail. This can be done instantly.

Hope this helps the unlucky few who cant make it this weekend.

Good work. I assume one week begins from the time on which you start watching?

I believe so. If I remember correctly never used a week pass before.

I will start mine on Saturday for the F1 then let it run to next Saturday.

The apprehensiveness I have with either the day or week pass (if the latter is being timed to watch both matches) is the rider on the NTV site that seems to suggest that it could take up to 48 hrs to activate the pass. This may be a conservative SLA designed to protect against issues, but does make me nervous. I'm wondering whether to go for a monthly sports pass instead, or the following offer (of course, cancelling future subscription)

Choose your Sky Sports Pass and start watching instantly

I've had a week pass before, it starts when you start watching your first event. It's gone up though only cost a tenner a few months back. Not had any problems activating it

Like I said in first post. If you buy a gift card it’s still £10 but £13 if you buy it as a pass. No idea why. But saves me £3

Thanks for the info on pass start time.

Mines sat in my account waiting for activation on Saturday.

If you buy a 1 week. sports card in store you get a scratch off code. Enter code and it adds to you account and activated when you start watching a sport channel. So no need to wait 48 hours. Iv used a lot of movie passes and they have always activated instantly.
