Would it not be possible as a very short term solution to play home games behind closed doors in Nuneaton? That way, the club stays alive and the fact that the ground isn't up to league standards is irrelevant.

The club wouldn't stay alive if that were to happen though, it would go bankrupt within weeks as there would be next to no revenue coming in

Which gives sisu a hell of a case to say they’ve been forced out of business.

They'd do that either way though. They wouldn't waste time going to Nuneaton first, signing a lease etc. for it to all go belly up before the end of August. Court proceedings against all parties would probably start almost straight away.

That's what I think too, it will go to the wire and there is still 2 months before the EFL might convene an EGM.

It's not really patronising when you do it in every thread you post in. What's the point?

You would hope this would focus everyone's minds particularly at SISU, Wasps, CCC & EFL

The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the appeal any time now. Hopefully it gets rejected and everyone can sit down and talk like grown ups. The worst result would be to allow the appeal. Reject the appeal and draw a line under it. I am sure the various PR people will spin something positive somehow for each party

Deeply worrying. Make or break time

I could not support another team if the worst happened, that would be me done. Find something else to do away from professional sport most probably

Do you think it's likely they know the outcome? I think in the past the people involved have known a bit in advance what the outcome was.

Ah so not that far in advance.

I guess we might get an idea when they know when the PR ramps up a bit.

Of course the EFL, having stood by and done sweet fuck all to help during SISU's 11.5 years in charge, now decides to put the boot in. It didn't do so in 2013, when the decision was in the club's hands, but does so now when the impasse is coming from SISU's legals.

If they actually proceed with this and boot us out they can rot.

Even if SISU's appeal is rejected. Wasps will only accept an extension with certain conditions in place. At that point we'll be at Wasps' mercy which is equally as bleak given what SISU have put them through.

They're a useless, outdated regulatory body and think they have more power than they actually do. Despite what tosh they come out with they can't intervene or help at all.

Outside of the box thought, is it worth organising a boycott of the casino for the last 5 games?

Can’t imagine Grosvenor being happy with losing 23 days of business - maybe they’d put pressure on Wasps

CCFC without SISU and CCFC with SISU are two completely different entities. I'd like to think they'd see the commercial and community benefits of working with CCFC more in depth if SISU were out of the equation.

Not sure about that but it's quiet about any pressure on the Council or Wasps still.

Both still at the mercy of Wasps while they own the Ricoh.

The same as we were at the mercy of ACL before SISU were here.

that of course would mean Tim Fisher as director of OEG and SBS&L would know early too.

the update on 5th March doesnt change too much, the time limit to get a solution is 25/04/2019. By which time you would expect the Supreme Court decision to have been given weeks before and there be time to sort something out.

I would think that Wasps would want a water tight undertaking from OEG, ARVO, SBS&L and SISU that this is the end of all legal cases dealing with Wasps gaining ownership of the stadium. You just know that is not going to be easy to obtain.

I would think a short term licence to play at the stadium would be put in place for one or two years, i wouldnt expect a long term agreement. I would expect a significant increase in the rent that we pay.

My point is if they were going to do this it would have made infinitely more sense to do it in 2013 when the club voluntarily left and there were no real obstacles to staying at the Ricoh. To decide to do this now when the club has no influence sums them up.

Yes, but whoever the owner, wasps can turn us out or charge what they want.

We’re always screwed and hamstrung in this positions

Where an issue could arise with Wasps hypothetically is if we started climbing the leagues. Then I could potentially see another rent dispute arise.

They can but there's zero we as a club can do about that apart from hope for the best. They own the stadium, we're mere tenants.
