If AT cant make signings in the summer and the boys return to their parent clubs. It does not look good!

We really dont have depth in the squad a couple of the wrong players out and we struggle.

Really hope he is allowed to make signings even if it is loanees or free transfers.

Think it is a bit early to start worrying about this to be honest.

There are going to be a lot of players seeking new clubs in the summer and the wages they can demand will come down as supply outstrips demand.

We have also got rid of some expensive dead wood (Eastwood) that will free up some of the budget. Even our board and owners are aware that there is a minimum squad size within in which there must be some quality. Clearly even this season we are able to source decent loans so no reason to expect next season will be different.

We will start to get the benefit of the tough season our youngsters have gone through. Not convinced any will be offloaded as they are likely to be cheaper in wages than any replacements. There are also a couple coming through from the academy too.

I think we might lose up to 3 of the following though...... Clingan, Crainie, Platt. That will further trim our wage bill as replacements unlikely to cost as much. But we might not lose any of them which would be a bonus. McPake and ROD may well not come back either. Bell Wood & Baker might play a bigger role next season. If we stay in the championship next season then I think there may be more room in the budget than some think.

Every year there is a certain amount of change in playimg staff, yes we need some numbers but I like that AT has to bring his scouting knowledge properly to bear and get proper value for whatever we do choose to spend. I would say that the five that he has brought in for pretty much a pittance will have served us well come last day of season. No reason why that cannot be repeated.
