If that's going to be our lowest attendance all season, it's not bad. It'll be higher than the a lot of teams (lowest attendance).

True. It's comparable to Birmingham and West Brom who took 1200 (albeit lunchtime kick offs).

It's just surprising how much it's dropped off. Lots of factors including the expensive Leeds trip but to drop to these levels is strange.

Am I going mad?

It’s a 3-4 hour journey two days before Christmas. Most people will be settled in for the period, or travelling around to see family.

If we’d got a more local fixture I’m sure it would’ve been better.

Boro will be lower I reckon, Shef Weds will be a good turnout if the prices are reasonable.

Not at all. Was always going to be a low following but I'm surprised by how low it is. We've take twice as much to midweek fixtures this season.

Middlesbrough may be even lower.

I'm not surprised at all. Many travelling to be with extended families , one week after the expensive Leeds tickets and 5 games in a very short space of time.

I didn't spend my hard earned time and money doing home and aways in League Two so we can only take 1000 to Sunderland now we're in the Championship averaging 25k. Where are all the bandwagoners and glory fans (of which a high proportion of this forum will be)? Absolute disgrace.

I take my hat off to those that go home and away every week, it's a phenomenal commitment.

But taking 1000+ to a game 3 1/2 hours away just two days before Christmas is certainly not disgraceful.

When the followings inevitably drop off in the next 12 months, they should certainly consider offering more loyalty points for certain games if there's chance the demand is going to be low, the allocation is huge or the games are moved to lunchtime etc.

Get a grip! Fantastic average home support now that’s bigger than West Brom and nearly matching Norwich.

Agreed. The Christmas schedule is ridiculous. Feels like an extra game has been crammed in and the two aways are 7-8 hour round trips. If people are also travelling to see family etc it’s just not feasible. Likely the players will be dead on their feet for the Boro game as well

This exactly.

I don’t really get the rigid points system. Let’s say we draw one of the big boys away in the cup, the tickets will sell out instantly but presumably people will still get 20 points- more than they’d get for the Sunderland game.

Limited to 3000 these days due to the stand being considered unsafe.
