Have rated some of his attributes since he arrived. With serious application and match day effort he could thrive in this league. His goal at the weekend and the one v pboro shows he has potential not many have at this level.

Totally agree we just havent seen enough of it to many off days hopefully now we have a manager who can motivate and get the best out of him

There is nothing more useless than unrealized potential.

I like him. I know he frustrates at times and some people don't rate him very highly, but he very much reminds me of Dele Adebola and that makes him a match winner. That is something we very much need and have lacked at times this season.

He can turn a game with one bit of magic in an instant and you always feel he is capable of producing that one little special moment in a game.

Such a shame he has spent much of his time here out wide left, where I'm sure we all feel he is wasted.

See what you are saying but I think a more permanent Tony Mowbray will replace him if he can.

the one thing mowbray needed to do when he came in was get one of our strikers (jackson, nouble or tudgay) to step up and nouble has done ever since that game in barnsley he has been a totally different player the current system is bringing far more out of him then pressley was able to. if all goes well (and lets face it at cov it never does) he could lead the charge next season in a new look attack under mowbray similar to what Bedner did for west brom in his time there.

I agree. Look at the better teams in the division and they're build on consistency and not reliant on one player for a bit of magic. My big issue with him is his lack of a footballing brain, the amount of times he gets into good positions and dribbles away and wide of the goal, or decides to shoot from an impossible angle when he should pass it.

Otis makes a good point, yes he reminds me of adebola and can be a match winner, but you wouldn't build a promotion side around adebola, he just wasn't consistent enough.

He may have scored 2 in 2, but for me he now needs to follow up that with another 6-7 from the remaining games to warrant a new contract.

No, I agree. I am only commenting on him this season for us. If we are looking for consistency I think we may well need to look elsewhere.

He is quite Stern John-esque in the effort and skill department.

Still remember the Peterborough game, I think he was the person getting everybody fired up. I know it doesn't mean much but he does seem to play off the fans reactions, have seen him a few times if we get a corner or something telling the fans to get worked up.

Too lazy, and will find himself in the lower leagues if his attitude doesn't change. I bet every club has thought the same who's hes been at, potential but just doesn't care about it.

Prove us all wrong Nouble, go out in these final games and set this league alight, it's within you to do so!

still surprised we were able to pin him down to the end of the season after he had scored a few.... hear people moaning at him to put himself about, but thats not his game, got great feet.

eh? cant accuse him of that so far imo, he has got his career going again since coming here and with a couple of injuries along the way.

If you class 3 goals since in 5 months as getting his career going, then kevin kyle was awesome too.

Not sure why people are so down on him. IMHO you have to judge him from when Mowbray became manager, not before.

Because he is a centre forward that doesn't score goals?

Hasn't he been stuck on the wing for most his stay here?
If he was placed in goals some on here would still moan about him not scoring.
Judge him under Mowbray is the most sensible comment so far.
Sometimes people just want to moan.

Two in the last two games. Mowbray is playing him down the middle. Same with Fleck, he's a different player since Pressley went.

Some, not all of his time here. He played up top for his first 13 games, it was Chesterfield Boxing Day when coleman moved him wide and played him, Madine and jackson.

Like I said earlier Torch, it's what he does until the end of the season, not what he does in 2 games. If he scores 5-6 in the remaining 10 game and keeps that level of consistency then great, we can all have a party.

On a side note, if we're only allowed to judge players under mowbray, that Dominic Samuel is rubbish (tongue firmly in cheek)

Nouble intrigues me, I've seldom seen a player divide opinion quite like he does. I've also seldom seen a player go from World Beater to Carpet Beater quite so fast either.

I think if he can play further part in keeping us up this season then Mowbray may keep him on, I'd have thought that the prospect of turning him into a consistent performer in this league would be a bit like dangling a carrot in front of a manager. The truth is he's not done that at any point during his career and there's a reason he's found himself at the bottom end of League One with a 6 month contract, but I certainly feel that under the right tutelage he should be at least an effective impact player in this league.

I do side with the theory he's worth hanging onto, but maybe my opinion is clouded by the fact I quite like the bloke. If this is the case though he needs to be surrounded by more grafters than he has been in this team this season though and maybe used in a similar role to which Bristol City have used Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

To be fair for the last two games he has been and substituted.

Agree with the effort part but Stern John was fasr superior in skill and finishing. Stern John is our best striker since relegation from PL in my opinion.

If he was a little more consistent, he'd score every game! Too many times he's not looked in the game, but I do get that he's not a winger and maybe the reason why he may appear to be sulking; he wants to be down the middle!

and Saturday shows if you give him chance to run at defenders in the middle of the park, he'll get you goals!

He is out of contract at the end of season, something that seems to gee up players a bit at this time of the season, In a way he is looking for a contract either here or elsewhere and his agent will be trying to fix him up probably as we speak. Wouldn't bother me too much if we kept him, he has attributes, but I'm not sure he is totally a Mowbray type of player, a lot will depend on the budget TM has to play with.
