Entertaining side Norwich and a good test for them at this stage of their preparations and an even studier test for us, which is exactly what we need to find out where we are in form, ideas, tactical astuteness, abilities and capabilities.
Expect Roy of the rovers to start with Juke and Sheffer's in the hole. Keen to see how that works out.
I'm not going but will be very interested in this game. Would like a match report from one of you guys to let us know how we did regardless of the score.

Got my ticket today, not overly excited but getting withdrawal symptons from football now and hope there will be a few there tomorrow. I am missing the first two home games at the Ricoh as I am on holibobs and then at a family party but going Blues away in between.

Norwich are a good team and made a few new signings. I read today that Elliott Ward is injured which is a shame as I would like to see if he has improved since he left us. I think Paul Lambert is a quality manager who has been there and done it all and seems to really know how to get the best out of players. If he keeps Norwich up this season he will have done really well and they will struggle to hold onto him as bigger clubs will come knocking on his door.

P.s
Paxman, CovMad has had text commentary on every game in preseason so far so I imagine tomorrow will be no different.

Anyone know the ticket scenario for 2moro? Haven't got mine yet but plan to go to the game, will the ticket office be open until kick-off? How about the city centre ticket office? Might pop to that one at about 12 if it's open?

Any info would be great, cheers.

I heard earlier its pay on the gate. I'm looking forward to this game. I wonder if any of the youngsters will get a decent sub appearance.

I looked online B17 16 15 all have around 30 sold in each in the middle a few more and the same the other corner I would probably say 2000 sold
But I think many will pay on the gate
My opinion
6100
1900 norwich

This should be a great test for the team, will really put the youngsters in to perspective, if i was in Coventry i would absolutely be at this game. Makes me wonder sometimes about our support, are they interested in football or is it just something to do on a saturday...

Is it on CWR does anyone know?

Not on CWR. Disgraceful attitude if you ask me. I think they would draw more listeners with the footy than some boring afternoon summer tea time show. God so cringe worthy.
We need our own radio station on the web and do live commentary too.

Any ideas on the score/team, anyone?

Edit: official site. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10269~2405829,00.html

2-0 down at the moment. Bell not in the squad and Eastwood has gone off injured. Gael started. Some good passing football 1st half but no goals and sloppy errors at the back for the goals we conceded. Sammy sounding our best player by miles. O'Donovan just had one ruled out for offside.

Mmm, could be a long season.

Or would they rather save their money for a real game. And yes they are interested in football as if they were "looking for something to do on a Saturday" they would do something enjoyable

Maybe we just dont want to give the leeches any more of our hard earned?? 1st proper test and we get gubbed, cant say im suprised. Not one outfield player brought in to what already is a very poor squad.Disgracefull attitude by the parasites.

I would have thought playing a premiership team at home a week before the beginning of a season of unknowns with an as of yet untested squad would have been a big draw to city fans. Saying you would rather save your money for a 'real game' is exactly what i was talking about. If i were interested in football as a spectacle and coventry were my team i would be at the game to rate the squad for the forthcoming season and hopefully be entertained while doing so. That is what i meant. If money is a problem then i understand, but i don't think it's a huge expenditure for a game of football.

Well hopefully this roasting will stop some of the stupidly high expectations being placed on a few of the youngsters. Time for a reality check.

Some of the younger fans need a bit of a reality check. I fear the worst next saturday, but football being football i wouldnt be suprised if we turn them over. Skybluemania, normally i would of gone up,but im not prepared to give sisu anything else.Ive given the bastards £400 for mine and my lads season tickets, theyre getting nothing more.

Eh, some good spells of possession and some sloppy goals conceded, motions well and truly gone through for both sides. The biggest thing is whether Eastwood is a precaution or injured properly, but he did pull up straight away right in front of us clutching his hammy so I'd be surprised if he's starting next week.

Nice day though.

Thought went senior team were playing in first half we matched them, if not were better. We created chances from the full backs, but not enough players in the box. Second half, looked tired and the kids looked vulnerable. Goals came from errors except third ( which was a gd goal), defo need a goal scorer and perhaps a new rb If keogh plays cb. Perhaps a senior cm or an am. Overall we have a average team, but a poor, lacking depth squad

Tbh I thought we were pretty awful today, only shot of note was when O'donovan tapped in the rebound to be called offside. My ratings
Murphy -6 - Barely made a save all game, thought maybe he could have done better with the first goal.
Christie-5- Showed lots of enthusiasm getting up and down the flank but lacked quality with the cross often not beating the first man.
Keogh-6-
Cranie-6- Both CB did ok, tried to build from the back well but were shaky in defense at times
Hussey-6-Got into some good positions to deliver good crosses early on
Clingan-6-Started well but seemed to fade out the game for long spells
Birgi...7-Showed some nice passes and touches early on, went quiet for a while before coming on strong at the end
Baker-5-Ineffective
Mcsheffery-3-I forgot he was playing at times.
Juke- 6- lots of effort lacked quality
Eastwood-6- showed glimpses of quality but went missing for a large part of the game.

I think we got into some good positions today but didn't find the killer pass or have that cutting edge that maybe a Marlon King gave us last season. We started off well in the first 30 mins after conceding the early goal but tailed off miserably for the rest of the game.

Big improvement needed for next week.
