Alien, Bidwell and dovin did well.

Hope lati had a good laugh with their player after the game.

Asante needs to never play again.

Lampard at fault too

Dovin 7.5
Lati 6
Thomas 6.5
Kitching 7
Bidwell 6
MVE 6
Allen 6.5
Sheaf 6.5
Rudi 6
Asante 5
Bassette 6

Eccles 5
Simms 4

Plus points being we seemed to have a little more aggression and purpose in our tackling. Seemed fairly solid with a makeshift lineup and formation. Nice move for the goal.

5 mins away from lauding it after a classic smash and grab graft. Bastard.

Can’t be arsed to do proper ratings. All three strikers who played were horrendous. Dovin was our best player by far. Rest of them range from meh to ok.

This is where I wish we’d got Roy Keane in as Manager.

Lati would currently be on his way to the emergency dentist

Not sure what was wrong with my thread (started first but I'm not bitter ) so I've copied here:

Dovin 7.5 motm
MVE 7 (incl point added for goal)
Lati 7
Thomas 7
Kitching 6.5
Bidwell 6.5
Sheaf 6
Allen 6
Rudi 6
Bassette 5 (works hard but it's not enough)
BTA 2 (really what does he offer? Forget the miss he was pointless without it)

Subs:
Eccles 4
Simms 3

Haven't seen Simms get a mention. Truly woeful. Barely broke a sweat.

Bassette at least runs but devoid of any quality.

Asante has been a disastrous signing. I'd have even preferred Godden.

Unfortunately we still have Stan & Ollie in central defence.

Coupled with Paul & Barry in CM

Simms has 30 minutes to put the effort in and he didn't. He should be doing everything to show Lampard why he should start and more importantly to secure the points. Why did he not? That's not got anything to do with confidence. It is down to desire.

It's infuriating.

As a player, you should be running your heart out of you're on for such a short period of time.

He'll probably need a lie down and a massage, that must have taken huge effort

Apart from his error in our box which nearly resulted in a goal, I thought he played well.

I thought we put in a gritty performance today and got close to delivering a smash and grab against a team that normally kills us at their place.

Still some negatives but also lots of positives today.

I was a big Robins fan. But we have to move on and it is early days for Lampard and his team They have had little time to coach the way the fixtures have fell. Also coaching takes time to take effect.

I also think 3 at the back with wing backs has always suited us as a team.

He is better at closing a cross down than DaSilva or Van Ewijk.

But on that note the team does seem to be coached to play narrow defensively.

Ellis failed to win challenge or just stopp another attack after equaliser.

I never thought he was good enough even in his spell of scoring last season. He offers almost nothing to team. I wish we had someone else.

Dovin, MVE and Kitching did very well. Credit Jamie for his efforts as wasn't easy after long time out of team.

Much more application but not enough quality in team. Crying out for a strong midfielder to come on but we haven't got one!

Gut wrenching to lose at end. Looked like a push or barge into Joel. Very suprised to see ref take no action.

A long day and still not back.
Not sure where we are going from here.

You’re levelling blame for the equaliser at Simms?!

Simms get goals when supplied with chances, that’s what he offers to the team and it’s perhaps the most valuable attribute in a striker. Lewandowski and Haaland are two strikers that look like they’re doing v little if they’re not scoring (on international duty, for example). They’re not particularly influential outside of the box.

The same applies to Simms, if you want him to run around like a headless chicken as Bassette and BTA does, he’s not the striker for you.

In terms of open play goals, he was our top scorer and scored more than BTA and Bassette combined.
