Never seen him play so can't really judge him.

But he's got some huge boots to fill.

The suggestion in the press up til now is that Dunn would be an understudy to Murphy or whoever else we get in as our number 1, so i doubt we'll see him play much for a little while if that's true.

So where will what's his face fit in then? Ireland is it? Murphy 1. Dunn 2. Ireland 3?

Like others, have to say ive never actually heard of the lad. But if hes been scouted, and Oggy thinks hes got a chance, I will always trust his verdict. Could turn out to be a great understudy for a few years, then push into the number 1 shirt when "Joe Murphy?" is getting on.

Northampton fans seem to be in agreement that he is a very good shot stopper, but can be caught out from crosses and doesn't command his area too well.
Sounds a bit like Westy. Would be a good understudy though.

Said before on this board that I saw Dunn play against port vale when they were top of the table. He made 2 fantastic saves near the end of the game, but looked very vulnerable when the ball entered the box. Also his kicking was extremely poor

Most keepers can make outstanding saves, but they need to be consistant! I dont know this keeper and have never seen him play, but reading peoples opinions who have seen him, im not sure signing a keeper who hasnt really shone in League 1 is a good move. Vulnerable in the air? Doesnt command his area? I think we should look elsewhere, but am happy to proven wrong if he does sign!

well his wikipedia article says that he is kept the 3rd most clean sheets for Northampton goalkeeper, should be alright as a backup but it's hard to tell. Low wages and no transfer fee, low risk signing

But from what I read, Dunn doesnt have this "good reputation" that Westwood had.

Id be disappointed if he was brought in as number 1. And TBH, id rather a back up who we could rely on. Look at Ireland when he was called upon. He couldnt even kick (and he's being offered a new contact )

How can you say Ireland couldn't kick when he got injured when he came on? I think Oggy and AT have judged him on seeing him everyday and not 2 mins on the pitch before he got injured.

I imagine he will be brought into the team as a 2nd goal keeping choice. I hope were still after someone like Murphy but if not like other have said Oggy with take care of him. Glad were actually approaching someone and it's not all newspaper ramblings!
