Northampton will be going out of the league soon and rumours have it that they will merge with ccfc, I can see this happening and it will be the same scenario as Wimbledon Mkdons.... Northhampton sky blues will merge and I know the people of Northampton are all for this......

Sure this is just someone on the wind up and I don't for a second believe this was ever the plan when SISU moved us but if CCC don't cave in will the thought cross SISUs mind to look into it? Ground is being done up (paid for by the council!) and I've heard that Cardoza wants out in the not too distant future. Lets face facts when Sixfields is done up it's not going to be far off what SISU have planned as a new ground.

Can't imagine their fans would be up for that either but I would hate it to get to a point where it was down to the league to make a ruling given their track record.

I also heard this a while back wouldn't put anything past them, they want to own a ground so easy way to own a football club with it's own ground and in the football league.

Why are you always shouting must get rid of that anger can't be good for you.

Or try shouting at the match I'm sure they will hear you above all that silence at sixfields.

JS, by her own admission, knows nothing about football and has no interest in running a football club. The last thing she needs is another "soccer" club. She wants her money back and getting involved in a merger with Northampton Town would be as clever as buying CCFC without a stadium.

You lost it at 'the people of Northampton want it'. Did you take a survey or something???

If it does happen, someone could buy the Northampton FC golden share, call the club Sky Blue Cobblers and move to the Ricoh.

Wouldn't surprise me if SISUE used it as a threat to CCC to try and get the Ricoh.

It is not something I thought I could see happening either but you are right about what they are having done to their ground. A new big stand (will they need it in the conference) paid for and planning in for retail, conference and other things. If Sisu/Otium could get this for cheap wonder what they could sell it for if the team playing there was in the championship (CCFC and Northampton merged). Colleague of mine covers Northants and the MK area and he was talking to a surveyor down there and he mentioned that he had been to see Cov play at Sixfields and that he wouldn't be too adverse to the two merging if the name etc stayed true to Northants and stayed in Northampton because they would have better players in a higher league. Like I said, I couldn't see this happening, then again, I couldn't see us playing in Northampton..............

The "people of Northampton want this" bit is utter nonsense. Some Cobblers fans are concerned though and you never know I suppose, as there are finanfial opportunities to be had with development and regeneration in the town.

This is what many have feared as a possible outcome ever since the ground-share was announced.

Who did you "hear" it from. Broken hearted on the hill one day after a third Stella?

If you do believe it your gullible factor is way off the scale.

They don't own the ground - didn't you source tell you that?

Think you'll find 'Utter Cobblers' is the new name of the two merged clubs.

I bet they've thought about it. Merge the clubs. Turn sixfields into a bigger/new stadium and then build hotels/entertainment venues whatever next to it. Joy will then have what she wanted at the Ricoh but just a few miles down the road (35miles is nothing to an American who doesn't know or care about football)

Load of bollocks, but seeing as there is huge support for franchise sport amongst our fanbase should think most would be right behind it.
