I'd say for as little as 9 quid for football at a higher standard than what you're used to, it's not really that surprising really is it.

How many of the 380+ ST holders (even cheaper than £9) are neutrals from Northampton and see it as a bargain?

is £9 the general admission price or the price if you were a season ticket holder last season?

If Northampton folk can get in for £9 i can sort of see why some of them are going.

I suppose it was inevitable................as one of their fans says, 'Much better football and cheaper to get in'.

Match day ticket in the main stand is £20 (£16 concession). If you follow football generally, then we're a bargain.

What kind of fans are they if they drop their club and start attending city games?

Unless they do both of course?

So that is why they are not bothered about the Coventry fan base dwindling - Because they have a whole set of new fans that are now starting to follow the team. How could we not all see this? Bravo SISU! Bravo ..........

That's what it was for one or two games. From £11 normally.

There is simply not the numbers to start again over there. As the guy said it seems like it is only a handful, even if we got promoted they wouldnt see a massive increase so i doubt it would be sustainable. I think alot of city fans who attend will stop going next season if the sitaution doesnt change.

Their board makes interesting reading.
Some go to both and others are going to watch CCFC because it is better football and a lot cheaper than Northampton at home.

I can see where this might go if SISU ACL don't make peace by Xmas.
..... ACL move on and SISU can't get permission or afford the stadium.

But if CCFC had cut all ties with the Ricoh and maybe got relegated to L2 or folded, Nuneaton got promoted to L2 and renamed themselves Coventry Borough.
Perhaps a few ex CCFC players, Academy players and previous Management team favourites on board ? Pressley ? Oggy ? Renamed the Jimmy Hill Stadium ?

Highly unlikely but .................. lets plant an acorn !!!

I hope they are watching us and not their own team. Cardoza won't be happy but he made the decision to have our team play there.

Maybe sisu are trying to bankrupt ntfc and get their ground on the cheap? They will have their ground then, old die hard cov fans will go with a new Northampton fanbase to make the numbers up?
I wouldn't put it past them...

In the bygone days when football was relatively cheap, i went to many grounds in the midlands as a neutral. Tues games are from £9, 10 yrs ago when Staff rangers were in the conference the cost was £12. I reckon 9 quid is what we paid at least 20 yrs ago.
Its not necessary they support us but the football is good, why not come and watch us.
They is no way there is a long term sustainable support there.
Its a rugby town!!

Really is just a handful of people with nothing better to do who like football. Nothing significant. A lot of them on that board are diehard Northampton fans but when our games get postponed are off to whatever match is easy to get to. I remember last season a load went to the Ricoh one week and were sat there in their Cobblers shirts and scarves.
I'm a Cobblers fan and I wouldn't bother watching city at sixfields. Can understand why Cardoza did it but its a rotten thing to do the Cov fans.
Hope you get back to the Ricoh as soon as possible.
