By the time they've finished I wonder how many times they could have paid for the W's deal. Must be getting close too at least once you'd think.

Then maybe it's a pity they were never offered the Wasps deal, or permitted to buy at least the 50% once they were aware of it, eh.

Why do you think they wasn't offered it?

Why is it always down to what other parties should have done?

Surely our hole we're in is down to what SISU should have done as opposed to what they did do?

Clearly there was a deal to be done. AL even said so on TV, she even got on the train and went to SISU towers to assist SISU in getting a deal done but they were too busy playing silly buggers to get a headline. "Its the freehold or nothing" or "She changed her mind on the train" or "We've moved on and are building are own stadium". We all know the free hold was never for sale as did SISU but if you were capable of negotiating the next best thing was, a 250year lease. Its a shame SISU weren't smart enough to attempt this until it was too late.

Why do you think they were? What was with the public invite for ccfc to bid then?

I don't think they were offered it. I am asking why he thinks the local authority chose to sell to an out of town rugby team over its own football club? What does he think caused the council to have that motive?

I must admit, you have me questioning myself. I won't buy a ST but will attend on a match by match basis. But I have got to the point where the sheer despair that SISU bring is getting to be overwhelming and is now damaging the way I view my team.

Welcome to my world. You are probably a bigger optimist than me though : ). I didn't go to the game yesterday. It was easy. Too easy. When I jack my ST in I will not be going on a match by match basis. It's been a strange journey these last 7 years. Going nowhere but down the leagues. Selling players.(Just how many did SISU actually buy?) The Northampton loyalty experiment? Some journey that was.

NOPM will work next season. 5000 attendances will be the norm. SISU out.

Same for me. In an ideal world everyone would be NOPM but with most people going to games if they feel like it, you really are just cutting off your nose to spite your face. It's worrying how anti-SISU sentiment seems to have died down (other than on here) but you can usually see a correlation between SISU hatred and league form (although interestingly during our recent bad run the fans' ire was directed towards SP and not the owners).

You do worry whether all these legal bills will hit our squad budget (SP said Fleetwood have a bigger budget than us) and indeed may have done so already, although playing in front of 2k at Northampton probably didn't help if we accept Timmy's excuse of FFP. This excuse should not apply next year but doubtless they will think up another one and distract attention from the claim that the Wilson/Christie money would be "re-invested".

In any case, it's pretty easy boycotting food and beverages inside the Ricoh (of which we do apparently get a small cut now under the new tenancy agreement) - I stood in a non-moving queue for ten minutes during half time yesterday before giving up my idea of having a cup of tea and a steak pie. Some things never change!

NOPM is happening naturally anyone who thinks it's some sort of organised campaign are bonkers. Home performances are dire, every game now. That excuse for a shop at Gallacher Retail Park is just that, an excuse, still haven't repaired the broken window or replaced stolen stock from that smash and grab raid some weeks ago yet, weren't they insured ? Buying tickets has become a chore, no staff half the time, multi tasking on other things, you can be the only one in and you have to queue.

You are talking as though SISU never had a chance to have the lease or have negotiations. You are also talking as though they never went back on anything agreed with CCC.

Don't you think that 7 years was long enough for SISU to have done something? And then when they did put in for the 50% after Wasps already had the other half it came with conditions. So did they really make a serious offer?

The conditions you refer to were to protect CCFC from a further points deduction and ensure that should Wasps default on their £14 million debt over the next 20 years, neither the Club or the Owners would be liable for 50%!

They were bidding to buy half of the Company owing the money, how can they put a condition in that means they are not liable for the debt?

In respect of bidding for 50% of ACL from Higgs, under what circumstances would we be at risk of losing points?

They were smart enough to agree a long lease before, they had agreed with the Council to extend the lease to 125 years. So the only bit they failed on was not putting an offer in when asked to do so.

So being able to pick up the other 50% even cheaper would have been a bad thing? And the longer that the loan was outstanding the lower the amount would have been owed.

Like I said seems to have been looking for an excuse again not to pay anything for the Ricoh

Under what circumstances can CCFC get a further points deduction and how could conditions on a deal to buy half a stadium management company protect CCFC from that?
