Missing my point.

If SISU have to fund the legal pursuit and the vehicle thay allows them to pursue it (CCFC) in its entirity is it a stretch too far for them and their investors they may just fuck off?

You yourself said they had no business running the Ricoh,

community asset? you said it was burden to the community in funding the mortgage.

you can't have it both ways.

You may have missed it but SISU lost the JR. There was no smoking gun. They had to drop large parts of their argument on the opening morning of the JR and had to pay CCC's costs.

I think you will find that Higgs have truly taken a back seat in the blame game it is currently Joe Elliot, Ranson and Gary Hoffman dropping to 6th place. Beaten recently by a surge of form from a previously unseeded Andy Goode! A recent change in form for the CET following change in tactics due to a change of striker, has seen them move to 4th in the table. 3rd is the Higgs Charity falling out the top two for the first time in 4 years. The Council for the first time in 4 years have been knocked off their perch as the 'Barcelona' of the blame game.
Wasps have recently spent big and its paid off, they came as a complete dark horses. Very few mentioned them last year and were laughed at. However here they are the current top cause of all things Evil.

(Please note the blame game always comes with the caveat 'I know SISU are mostly to blame but......)

Just me ( probably) and I know you will hate this but I still am. In my opinion they did the right thing no question. It's odd to say it as what they did shafted CCFC. However they clearly did the right thing and it was one hell of a ballsy decision
It is a lot easier to slate them because this is a CCFC supporters forum.

However I have yet to hear any argument that makes sense as to why you would turn down Wasps ( if you are not a CCFC fan)

Anne Lucas is a Cov fan as I would guess are a lot of the councillors they made a decision I am sure was not one they hoped they would have to make.

So yes sorry Nick I am still proud of them.

I have met our owners and I actually like them as people. I just completely disagree with their approach to this situation.

Why is it a ballsy decision - no one outside if CCFC would have cared less who they sold it to. Most of the city don't give a stuff.

They made the decision to save their collective skin - having a council owned company defaulting on a council funded loan would be political suicide. Still if that makes you proud, well.......

No they didn't - they should have offered the identical deal to the club - that would have been the right decision. Or they tough it out and assist the community based club as other councils such as Nottingham when they allowed significant defaults in payments to occur when the club was in trouble.

Nopm is a cowards way out. It's like fans who try to get in without paying and then moan the club has no money. Owners come and go but I always thought my football club would always be here! The truth is that nopm could lead to them having no club to return to when they are ready

They didn't want an identical deal though. They had the oppertunity to offer an identical deal for the Higgs share but didn't. If they did and still got turned down you may have a point but they didn't. Its as simple as that.

Tough it out? You just said that they had to sell because a council owned company was about to default on loan from the council. Using your own "facts" they weren't in a position to tough it out.

So again, using your "facts" they must have made the right decision.

You were saying for a long time that there was only one show in town and I have to admit you were right. It was Wasps.

Thank you Pete for your opinion. This is the type of post I wanted to read as an argument against NOPM rather than another they did this they did that.

Did you by any chance see the news coverage about Hereford united last night where they have arrived at the scenario you've described?

The fans actually seemed relieved that it was over and they now had the oppertunity to start again without the "money men" and build a community based team.

I know that they are/were lower down the leagues than us so they can get back to where they were quicker than us but how much lower will SISU take us before we end up going out of existance like Hereford under SISU? We might not have as far to climb as we currently do to get back to where we are by then.

So it begs the question. Is NOPM a risk worth taking if it rid us of this cancer?

You can't compare us to Hereford, they had far far less to lose than us. We have seen a lot of non league clubs go busy and rise back from the league's. They will basically start where we would have to start yet will only need 2-3 promotions not 5-6 promotions to get back to where they are. They have crowds of a few hundred anyway (according to wiki their ground only holds 1k), so relatively they won't lose much revenue if they lose some fans.

No, I don't think NOPM is worth the risk, people will get out the habit of going, find other stuff to do, lose the bug - we've already heard a lot of this because of Sixfields. When we go pop, people won't come back in droves, we'll still be in the same position of no stadium, renting the Ricoh but with 800-1k fans watching 9th tier football.

How many of those NOPM went to arsenal? Or will go the next big cup away day? Or will go to a home play off semi final? Or the play off final if we got there? That's giving money to the club. And for me, if you're NOPM don't moan about lack of signings, don't moan about us selling players and don't moan about callum wilson/arsenal money.

NOPM will only harm the club. If you don't want to go fair enough, don't hide behind a slogan.

Far less to lose than us at the moment. How high are you expecting SISU to take us? Personally I can only see us going in one direction with them.

I think the fact that there is no big away FA cup draw and little chance of the play offs or the play off final just go to show that SISU are only taking the club backwards. How many seasons will it take us to get to Herefords league? Will SISU have killed the club anyway before we get there? Could it be NOPM could succeed in two ways? It could force SISU out. It could kill the club in the process but it could do it quicker and the rebuild could start sooner.

SISU's actions are already getting people out the habit of going. You could argue that they've created NOPM not the fans.

If you believe that NOPM could work thats living by your convictions not hiding behind a slogan.

Like I said in my opening post. I aint convinced about NOPM but SISU's latest action is making me consider it as a possibilty.
