Which part of history? The slave trade? Civil rights movements? The holocaust?

The slave trade which was abolished in this country nearly 200 years ago? Or the civil rights movement that happened in American? Or the holocaust in Europe?

Im confused as to which of those applies to this country and recent.

if you don't want to read it don't click on it and certainly don't right on it "oh no not another xxxxx thread, here we go for another 10 pages of bickering" helping keep it on the front page.

How about automatic 48hr bans if your post contains 'Shitsu' or 'Shitzu' (I'd love to see TonyLinc's face the first time he falls foul of it). For balance the same could go for use of 'gAyCL' (I've not actually seen that one yet, but fair's fair).

Good idea.

Thanks for that. You have done us a good turn there. You are banned for 48 hours :claping hands:

prob is the mods dont keep to their own rules in terms of forums

either on CCFC forum, or a monitored forum which moves threads to the apropriate forum

surely everything related to CCFC is worth keeping in one space ?

Keep them. I've said before the forum should be one big free for all anyway. I rarely if ever venture into the off topic forum and as soon as one gets moved there it dies.

I agree. I only look at the "New Posts" so there might already be loads I miss. Generally, once I'm fed up debating a topic in a thread because it degenerated into offensive, pointless or tit-for-tat points scoring type stuff - I avoid it. Lots of threads I instantly ignore already...the topic says it all sometimes.

That's freedom of choice.

Personally, no, and I'd suggest that looking at the other sub-forums in CC General Chat, most don't have regular posts. Indeed, apart from one or two "new" topics, most haven't been replied to for a week or more.

Perhaps only the Video clips need to have their own section. as these seem to have replies on a daily basis.

As also mentioned, some people only book mark this particular forum (CC General Chat). Makes it easier too on mobiles, where navigation is a bit awkward.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, IMHO, Sky Blues Talk seems to be browsed a lot by journos and people connected with the club. You want to make it easy for them to get their info and gauge the fans opinions.

Just my view.

Should I make a section where we can dump all of the threads that are "Why you should go to sixfields" or "Why shouldnt you" and basically NOPM arguments and bickering?

We can move them all into there as I know people are sick of them, public vote so public decide

Why not - it will save you the time of slagging off anyone who dares criticise people for going to shitfields and therefore banging the nails into the coffin of CCFC. You are hardly a fair and honest arbiter of what is right.

I am not sure he does want people to gauge the strength of opinion - spends most of the time criticising those who have a different view to him and a small minority on here.

I criticise when all people can muster up is "scab" or "sisu lover" as it is pointless and when they just say "you are weak and killing our club". It is the same going both ways but it just happens more aimed at people who do go to the game...

No, I critisise peoples posts who struggle to have a debate properly without resorting to things like this:

http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threa...-Lucas-s-interview-on-Cwr?p=514463#post514463

and

http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/36243-Ricoh-free-for-this-season?p=534170#post534170

Why should people make the effort when people struggle to make a posts that don't contain "shitsu", "scab" and accuse people of killing the club? I know lots of people who truly back NOPM who manage to constructively post rather than foaming at the mouth at anything they can.

Have a look through your posts where you abuse people for going to games, I think "Twat" and "scab" are just a couple and see who is criticising

I don't get personal I just request things stay on topic and people don't get offensive.

At least be man enough to admit it mate. Every god damn thread is derailed by some pissy comment from one of about three pro-Sisu posters, yet you claim it's all the other side. Conveniently, not the side you are on.

Its your forum and you can run it how you like, but don't claim it's objectively moderated.

It is good to know the insults only go one way

I only insult the people that insult me first, and most of the time I don't even do it then. There has been threads where the insults have been flying from both sides, yet you only mention the ones aimed at the so called pro SISU posters. It don't bother me most of the time as I know the insults wouldn't be coming my way if I was face to face with the idiots doing it. But sometimes I have had a beer or few imp:

We all want the same thing. Reading between the lines you can see a few of the so called pro SISU posters want exactly the same, but they seem to enjoy the wind up. It is about time we all chilled out with each other.

Yes, all this infighting is getting boring, fek it all off mate, its ruining your board...some on here only post when the words SISU appear - YES I know its part of the Club, but the teams doing well I think we should try and focus on the positives, do what the NTFC forum Hotel End have done give it all its own area...

Crikey! All I can say is that this place becomes more like Nazi Germany every day!!! I think I could even go so far as comparing Nick to Hitler, the pro-Sisu brigade (you know who you are!) as the Gestapo and the Sisu-out/NOPM guys as the Jews! And I don't think that trivialises what happened during WWII in the slightest!!!

Only if you are looking for it.
Oh and are only said by the ones that are in their 40's and 50's
Maybe you should set up the forum in age category therefore posters like me who fit in that category can call each other names to our hearts content and the rest of you can use it as a dating site.

How can you say people are sick of them when these threads get more responses by far than any other CCFC topic? If people were truely sick of them they'd ignore them.

correct it is our only way of venting the anger that our owners have caused.
Doesn't matter what side you are on nobody can be happy with what has happened to our club.

I have only pointed out that a lot of the bickering ( again both ways ) is between older fans and isn't 16 year old chavs fighting outside sixfields.

What is wrong with me saying that?

to be honest ive given up reading / contributing to any of these threads.. just no point. its the same stuff going round & round from both sides .. and there is no real interesting debate , its just petty point scoring & bitching

with the site being made up by 80% of these kind of threads, it has one plus side i guess.. ive got loads more work done these last coupe of weeks as i just cant be bothered to look on here as much these days

id say to have one main sticky thread for this kind of debate, and if any new thread starts in a similar vien, just close it & refer people back to the sticky. that way it keeps the debate on this forum.. but stop the whole page geting clogged up with the same drivel.. and will hopefully encourage people to start threads on some more varied topics

Yes it is a way of venting anger as long as it is constructive and not offensive. I have had to delete a post this morning from somebody moaning on this thread for calling somebody an f'ing c unit because they didn't have the same opinion....

IMO there should be just one section for everything, including non football threads, sometimes good to discuss other things away from Cov. City, just an opinion.

The point of a forum is that all views are aired. Trying to impose a filter based on "approval" or whatever criteria Nick is choosing is patently absurd.
