Why should I give any of my money to an owner of our club who has made us homeless for the first time in my lifetime and taken my club over thirty miles to Northampton in the third division? It's not an excuse it's a carefully thought through decision that I've (and others have) made.
SISU have clearly ignored all the messages that they've had from fans saying we don't want to see our club in Northampton. Marches, Protests, Surveys [just 24.5% said they were prepared to travel to Home games in an interestingly worded question] have all come to nowt so the only weapon left in the arsenal (pun not intended) is the financial one - NOPM.
I doubt that owing our own ground will ever happen. Even if PROPERTY DEVELOPER (clues in the name) PH4 had been successful. What does he want most? A bottom of the table L1 outfit or the Ricoh and the surrounding opportunities?
I would imagine whoever eventually takes us over will own the ground (when we do return home), not the club.
So why move from the Ricoh?

I agree with the sentiment of 'bleeding SISU dry' so they will sell up but honestly do not think it will practically happen. SISU are a cut throat commercial organisation where dollar is everything, they will want to make a profit through this process and wont release the hold on our club so easily, getting us relegated isnt in their best interests, the fans and the club. If this happens they definately are not going anywhere.
The best outcome for us is to make CCFC a very attractive proposition by getting us back into the championship and back to the Ricoh/new ground where all revenue comes back to the club and not to another third party whether that be rent, food etc. This will be the only time they will look to sell our club to a buyer when they can make a profit (if profit is ever possible in football). Most people complain about people going to Northampton and calling them all the names under the sun (for the record Steve's comment at the start was clearly to provoke a reaction) but i think NOPM is hurting the long term alot more than people attending.

So basically; "meet the new plan, same as the old plan". Sisu got support, we were a Championship team, we had an option to buy our ground (that we never exercised).
6 years later we're bottom of L1 and don't even play in Cov.

As an aside: NOPM for me isn't about starving Sisu out, it's about showing disdain for their actions and using the only power available to me as a consumer.
There was a Leeds fan on here the other day saying he wishes Leeda fans had done NOPM and Bates would've left earlier. The strategy they had of "supporting the team" kept him around for several more years as he could still milk the club for cash.
NOPM campaigners would rather sit on their sofa all weekend rather than try and protest.

I agree its not possible to starve them out. Even at 0 fans they lost more on us in the Chanpionship.
However, what it should do in my mind is set some at the FL questioning if all the crap Fisher sold them about the groundshare was true.
Also, remember Fisher thinks this is all a temporary temper tantrum and we'll all back the move after our little three game protest.
The fact that after two games Fishers tone has done a 180 and he's now talking about coming back in his programme notes, suggests to me that if NOPM carries on for another 2-3 games he'll soften even more.

No I wouldnt want to reconsider my previous points and would like you to answer a couple of questions. 1) Have you every seen Tim Fisher outside that building? 2) Do you think the office clerk watching you really cares? However i do hear that you saw our Joy yesterday and if you have a picture thats great. SISU would much rather you be outside their offices protesting than actually protesting at the FOOTBALL game. Easily ignorable outside SISU HQ.

I'm happy for someone to try and change my mind but it isn't going to happen whilst we're playing at Sixfields or any ground outside Coventry. You know what your right. I can't be arsed.
I can't be arsed to travel 3 hours extra each fortnight and miss putting my daughter to bed. I can't be arsed handing good money over to an organisation that refuses to listen to its customers out of pigheadedness. I can't be arsed to further support big business taking the game I love away from its origins for no reason other than profit. I can't be arsed to go and support players who earn ten times what I'll ever earn who forced this move through continual wage demands and who will all be gone, including the manager by the time my club is back home. And most of all I can't be arsed to subject my daughter to an addiction to a bunch of arseholes who would do the same to her.
The fact is. It's not my job to keep me arsed, its the club's and they've shown me quite clearly they couldn't give a fuck whether I turn up or not.

I used to go when my days off coincided with matchdays and I could get to Coventry for the game. I knew when I took the job that I'd be working weekends was and that would severely restrict my ability to be able to make it to matches. I stayed at the Ricoh in the hotel on one occasion (midweek evening game) as I had the day off the day after and got an advance ticket for Virgin Trains to get me there before kick off. Didn't have a pitch view room but a room with a kitchenette, washing machine, fridge and slightly bizarrely a bath in the room not the bathroom. Room was dead cheap too.
