Yeah it was really good. Noel spoke very candid at his football career. Bayern Munich came in for him whilst he was at cov at we played them in a friendly but he turned them down. He’s battling some demons currently but full respect to him for opening up and talking about it. Carl Baker, Brian Borrows, Lee Hurst, Chris Camwell & Jordan Ponticelli attended and took part in a short Q & A. Great night with all of them saying what a great club CCFC is and how it’s a shame that we’ve become a shambles off the field

I was there at the Bayern friendly as I was when we played them in the inter city fairs cup or whatever it was called but imagine saying no to Bayern and staying at Cov...great player for us was Whelan but he had his demons there too

I never really rated him that highly when he was here. I always felt he had the potential to be a better player than he was. However, if you look at his Coventry goals compilation on YouTube, some of them are outstanding.
He must be a member of a very exclusive club being a player who scored a goal for his former club when never playing for them again.

Yeah big time. Telfer lived very close to L’Spa centre and they were in a club called Sugar most weekends.

He just had a knack of producing something special at times but agree with you he could and should have played for England if he had got his head down and stopped being a clown

He was being called "Snowy" by the compere and others in the Legends lounge yesterday - hopefully a nickname from the past.

David Speedie made a rather unusual speech, after the basics about being happy to be back etc, he launched into a tirade against the PFA (pension scheme), and was rather uncomplimentary about Gordon Taylor.

He was called snowy from his Leeds days. Apparently is was down to the fact that he settled quickly into the first team squad.

He was a very talented player, but off the field stuff stopped him reaching his potential. Shame really

Yes it was his nickname at the club I was with Steve Froggatt earlier today and when we spoke about Saturday he said it was nice to catch up with Hucks and Snowy
