Something like this could work. get it wrapped in CCFC logo's, there's plenty of locked compounds right next to the Ricoh, i park my car in one everytime i go so they'd only have to drag it across the road on match days. Too easy?

From the latest Supporters' Consultative Group Meeting Minutes on the CCFC website the issue of 'the club shop table' was raised and highlighted as being inadequate.

It was asked if a mobile unit could be used, which could be set up for each match.

Tynan Scope from CCFC agreed it was inadequate but said that 'unfortunately it was impossible to transport one to each game' and there was no storage areas in the Ricoh that could be used.

I'm unable to see why a mobile unit couldn't be brought to the Ricoh for each game and stored at Ryton? A mobile unit could also be used for other CCFC related events.

That is total bollocks. Plenty of better ways than the joke trestle tables, just need a bit of imagination.

Yeah, probably worth following up *why*.

As an aside, handy to know the SCG did actually have some handy content in it

Yep, "impossible" apparently! I thought it was a strange choice of word.

Basically it boils down to the fact that they have virtually nothing to sell or nothing that anyone wants to buy. They missed the boat by starting the season at Sixfields and assuming they would have very few customers. Now they won't stock up until the close season in preparation for next season and the Christmas run in.

the most annoying thing, is the rhetoric about 365 days of revenue. Revenue is generated by sales which are in turn generated by good marketing, attractive products, good presentation etc.. SISU just don't get it.

Were we asked to PAY to for 1 of the many units not being used and said we dont do pay.I think if we owned the ground the Wasps would not have been treated as well as they have treated us.

They don't have a problem with imagination. We see it each time there is talk of a new stadium.

Judging by our sales pitch compared most clubs what would the stadium look like compared to the plan published by the club

You are right of course, because the council would never sell it to the club whilst under SISU ownership.

Lets put the horse before the cart shall we. SISU have never shown any real intent to purchase. If they had ever put in any genuine, reasonable offer at any point and it never bacame our property I'd agree with you 100% But the truth is we will never know what the council would or wouldn't have done because they were never in a position to make such a decision. Painful as that is for some people to accept that's the truth.

And would you think that that's because they have an anathema to companies whose names are alternate consonants and vowels, or do you think it might have some link to their behaviour?

We need to remember that this time last year CCFC were playing out of Sixfields with the intention of staying there until they built their own ground.

The Ricoh was empty, so ACL had to look at other options and Wasps needed a ground.

Yes CCFC moved back, but only after much pressure/negotiations but still indicated it was a temporary measure.

Wasps made ACL a reasonable offer and signed on the dotted line.

I don't think ACL should have been expected to twiddle their thumbs until CCFC decided to come back permanently and/or at a price which wasn't reasonable.

Sisu would have had it for peanuts if Wasps hadn't shown interest.

What the club were offered clearly was Tony wasn't it? They were right on that score.

Thought they paid circa £6M for it and took on servicing a debt of £15M. Hardly peanuts.
Peanuts is putting ACL into administration, being the only buyer and being given it by CCC because it's costing them money.

The so called peanuts that Wasps paid for it was too much for Sisu as documented by TF.

I imagine that if Wasps owning the Ricoh eventually puts ccfc out of business we'd have morons like tony and italia gloating and celebrating.

Trying to get one over on sisu is far more important than what's good for the club according to them.

What was the club offered then? What do you think Wasps were offered? Or did they use that aged proven method of negotiation? I think they negotiated the deal they got, shame our owners couldn't have put the effort, time and money that they put into litigation into negotiation. Who know's, we might have picked it up for peanuts. Still, SISU deliberately lost the JR didn't they so I'm sure it will all come good in the end.

You imagine wrong. Everything you have just insinuated is just you're imagination. Which is all you seem to have.

Its only SISU who have the power to put CCFC out of business but morons like you can't see that because you're too busy blaming at CCC and everyone else to notice that this is exactly what's happening.

What have SISU ever done that's good for the club?

Anyone who thinks all I'm interested in is getting one over SISU really is an idiot.

It really does seem that way. I get that SISU have been terrible for the club, to put it mildly, but people seem intent on twisting every little thing so it is entirely their fault while at the same time defending Wasps to the hilt.

We've now had the club at the SCG and on twitter speak about this yet, as usual when it suits, those responses are being ignored. We started off with we just need to ask Wasps then when it turned out we had it became they'd said no because SISU had refused to pay! Is it so hard to believe there is a chance that Wasps aren't really bothered if we can sell merchandise on matchday or not?

Where am I gloating and celebrating? I'm still supporting after nearly 40 years.
Getting one over on Sisu is not possible by me but CCC were forced to act to get out of the Sisu strangle hold.

You are blinded by CCFC and your morals have gone out the window if you want Sisu to own the stadium at the expense of the Coventry ratepayer.
We could have been in a similar position if Sisu had compromised on their 'all for nothing' approach.

Wasps will not put CCFC out of business unless Sisu want them too.

You have no idea if any of that is true.
Where's the evidence that CCFC have asked for something and been refused.

You have no idea what has been officially asked for, under what circumstances and what commitment has been given for next year.
Take off your bias blinkers and stop guessing from chit chat on Twatter.

Its always great when people use the argument you have no evidence apart from the evidence that I'm going to ignore!

The evidence is the SCG minutes, the clubs response on Twitter and the response to me when I asked the question directly on matchday. So what you're actually saying is that in all those instances the club is outright lying. You say I have no evidence, I see little evidence showing the club to be lying on this matter.

Why is it so hard for you to imagine we've asked for something and Wasps have said no?

So who has been defending Wasps? Or do you count saying that they negotiated when SISU refused to as defending them? It is defending Wasps as much as accusing others of such is defending SISU. It is all BS.

We all know that SISU had chances to have what Wasps got. Wasps got it because of what SISU did. And those that kept going on about the white elephant are the ones shouting the loudest now. Yes CCC never offered SISU what Wasps got. But they didn't offer Wasps it either. It was negotiated. SISU refused to negotiate. And previously when they did negotiate they refused to pay as agreed. If they wanted it for less than agreed why didn't they just negotiate a lower price instead of being plain ignorant?

Here is what the club had to say in response, so they have asked and they didn't get.
