Yet another defeat, this time at Tranmere Rovers, the same team who walloped City 5-1 at Sixfields.
So that's an aggregate score of 8-2, so no wonder the Tranmere fans after the game were saying Coventry were worst team they'd seen at their ground this season.
That's in contrast to the Leyton Orient manager saying only a month or so ago that Pressley's side were the best they'd played this campaign.
Talk about being a Jekyll and Hyde team, it seems the Sky Blues can't make their mind up what they want to be.
Do they want another nail-biting end to their season or do they want to finish as high up the table as they can?
Steven Pressley has now said it could be a relegation battle if they don't start winning some games but surely his players know that anyway but judging by their pitiful performances lately, it's not been sinking in.*
This is getting serious now and the next month could make or break our season as teams below the City are starting to win games.**
It's imperative the Sky Blues pull their fingers out and put some points on the board or it could be curtains for the club. ***
As fans we like to stay as positive as we can and try and be upbeat but this isn't a laughing matter now as relegation to the fourth tier of football would be disastrous.
We're having the season from hell due to the circumstances off the field but to drop down even further would be too much to take for the majority of us already weary supporters.
Pressure is on Pressley now to deliver results as a lot of fans are not satisfied with him and some are even calling for him to go. ****
This is par for the course these days in football but even though I still think he could be a good manager if he got more help from the owners, which is laughable as they are utterly clueless and useless where running a football club goes, if things don't start to turn around pretty sharpish I myself will probably be on Pressley's case. *****
We keep on hearing the manager waxing lyrical on how good his team is with our nice passing football and how they play the sort of football spectators like to see, but that won't mean nothing will it if it's going to be admired by fans in League Two.
All fans want to see entertaining football but only if it brings success so as a City fan I'd like us to play boring football for a bit and scrape a few 1-0 wins and move up the table and when we can all breathe a sigh of relief.******
We could then look to next season and a hopefully stronger squad of players who can play the type of football that Pressley wants as it looks a bit silly now with the big drop looming, doesn't it?
This is the latest "opinion" at the CT. For what Mr Halls has fail to mention in his piece is that at the time Russell Slade stated we were the best team Orient had played in the League this season, we had the top goal scorer in the league and had the best partnership in the league during the last game we played Orient, baring in mind also that I am sure every manager will have a different opinion, which has been since broken.
* I think the main aim at the beginning of the season was to avoid relegation, okay so some of us hoped we could do better then that, but I have to admit my first thought about this season was about staying up after the deduction, if we then finish within ten points of the play-off's this season will have been a success.
** Starting to get serious? It's been serious from the moment we got the ten point deduction you moron!!! With the amount of youth we blooded in it could of been a lot worse, no one knew that Leon and Callum would hit it off like they did.
*** How would one suggest we do this without a recognised striker due to injuries, loan agreement's, Donnelly's departure?
**** These people are frankly idiots and it's no wonder why we have the managerial record we do.
***** Jesus christ! Great way to stick by things throught the hard times?!
****** Yes we all wanked ourselves silly over Pressley and the team early on, but we all knew we were going to hit a blip, the only way we come through it is if we stick together and support the team, our strikers are about to be bled back in the team so we now have a spearhead to our team.
Is it just me or is this just one of the most stupidest article's I've seen on the CT (and that is going some way to say that as well).
