I have absolutely no doubt we will make the playoffs.

I am dissapointed that it may not now be automatic.

I feel the sacking of AT after 4 matches was pathetic and has lead to these 5 defeats.

However I have faith in robins. He will get us a few draws then if he is not sacked for that crime, we will get a few wins then not look back.

Just dissapointed this unnecessary disruption has screwed our chances of automatic.....

You not think the attitude issues Robins has referred to stemmed from the pally atmosphere under Thorn? There's a lot of work to do to shake that attitude out of the players.

As for this continued idea that Thorn only had 3 games to prove himself, it's just bollocks.

I think play-offs is a stretch, however I do not think we will be relegated like many on here.

9 New players is nearly a complete new team. For me it was a clean slate for a manager who had never been backed until that point.

He was only allowed those games. I can only judge him on those games. Apart from 45 mins against bury I think it was acceptable.

It is bollocks unfortunately.

The comment upon the sacking that 'we could see the same pattern emerging as last season' from Fisher just blows that thought completely out of the water.

The club saw the same thing happening as last season.

If Robins can get the confidence back into the squad & the players start wanting to play for Robins & City then we will be OK

This squad has been messed around so much.
If you think about it logically.
New division, 9 new players in. New coaching staff. The bonus payments issue.
All of that and they were steadily building a platform with three draws then bang!
All change followed by frustration and uncertainty then the defeats.
To expect robins to come in and win straight away was unlikely.
He is a new manager, new ways, new ideas, new players and a new coach.
Again it will take bit of time. However as I have always said the squad will have a really strong run from December onwards.

This latest unnecessary change may just mean going up via playoffs instead of automatic, but who knows.

To be fair, I think Abbotts team were destined to win, given his story.

The play offs is obviously still possible but we need to start winning first. One game at a time, I think our problem stems from this belief that we will do this or that without even making the effort.

Robins will, I have no doubt, start to ship out some of the wasters in our squad over the next 3 or 4 weeks. With the pace Moussa will bring on the left, if Baker can maintain some form on the right, if we get the right partner for McGoldrick, get a solid defensive central midfielder and get the central defence sorted (goodbye Wood) we will be okay. Not much is it.

The remaining games will need to be...

W 20
D 10
L 8

That will give us 73 points and possible play offs

I hope your right !

I am thinking more

W 19
D 13
Lose 6

73 points.

But when we start getting the draws we can't hit the panic button. We just have to see it as a platform to build from.

The Football League Show said avoiding relegation should be our aim and 1 place above the relegation zone would be a success

Trouble is most of the 9 brought in don't seem good enough. Question is who brought them in ? Thorn or Waggott, i suspect the latter for most of them

We certainly look like a side that will only lose 6 times again this season

Speaking to Fisher, it seems Thorn was sacked for his lack of leadership. As I said to him, that doesn't reflect too well on people who left him in charge.

Bit harsh. People seem to be forming this opinion because of current form. All of them apart from the centre backs have shown they have quality but lack motivation and in some cases fitness.

Most the new signings have what it takes to play above league one IMO.
Its all the change that has caused the issues.

Not a chance. A lot of the signings are poor. Of the 9 signed before last week you can pretty much write of Malaga, Edge, Ball and Brown plays bit looks poor. Barton and Fleck look physically weak and Jennings looks a poor mans Deegan (heaven forbid).

You constantly imply we were drawing games and this suggests the old regime would have turned it round. Where is the logic? No home win since mid march and the worst winless league record in the country.

Remember Bury are the worst side in this league yet even they comfortably came back into the game. No clean sheets all season.

Big problems all round. I think lower half of mid table is the best we can hope for with this lot.

Waggot signed them? So even the players who had a weeks trial or in Jennings case several weeks? Kilbane a waggot signing? Yeah right.

What evidence is there to suggest any of the signings have what it takes?
