if we are serious about trying to get out of this league, this season, then id have said it would be.. and with the money from the Maddison sale, this would have been doable surely.
He should have been a target for any club wanting to get out of this decision and are willing to splash the cash. Us however, whilst we want to get out the league, we aren't going to be offering, let alone paying massive fees for players!
So I would imagine that we weren't in for him this time.
That said, I bet Swindon only let him go to free up wages for the mighty Connor Thomas

Can't imagine Ajose would've been a target this season. He obviously rejected us for Swindon in last summers transfer window therefore it is clear he has zero desire to play for us. TM wants players that want to be proud of putting on the Coventry City shirt. Not to mention that he is horrendously overpriced for a player who can't make it at Championship level and clearly would've been way out of our budget. He's played in the championship but he is by no means a championship quality player despite his success last term
