How about relegation, and SISU still don't sod off?

Well I've be been around longer than SISU, lived all over the country so had plenty of opportunity and temptation to change my allegiance...but haven't and won't. Coventry City will always be my team. But that doesn't mean I have to support the owners or even tolerate them.

Any way to get the thread back on line.

From the little I saw a rubbish first half by both sides, Sheffield started the stronger but with very little to show for it
Second half a bit like Wednesday arses kicked woke up and started to play some better football,
Always looked like a 1-0 win to whoever could snatch a goal.
Can't say it was very entertaining but hey a wins a win.

Being so far away I couldn't really tell who had a good game and who didn't so can't comment on that.
One thing is for sure Reda is that big you can't miss him even from the hill, about time we had a unit like that at the back scared me and I was miles away.

People can't comment on what they see how many on here went to the game?
I went watched from the hill celebrated like everyone else.
Thing is my eyesight is not what it used to be and I don't even know hardly any of the players to make a comment....

Mind you if it was a thread on slagging of players or managers you would be the first on there.

Yet you moan about others....

I agree with G on this.

If we had got beaten yesterday there would have been plenty of opinions about this & that to do with a performance they hadn't seen.
As it is...we won, but those same people can't think of anything to say.

Personally I can't comment on the performance beyond I read & hear that we dominated most of the match & maybe rightly got three points against the runaway favourites to win the League. That's got to be good hasn't it?

Three points closer to safety...& I'm sure the doom merchants hate it!

Most of us are like you. We were not there. So we can't say much about the game. But what we heard sounded good. But you can't believe everything that you hear or read. Look at the Cardiff game. Players got praise that we also heard didn't play very well.

And are you saying that things would have been looking good if we would have lost? Is nobody allowed an opinion if it isn't all good news?

Doom merchants? We had been very poor since the start of the year. We have lost our best players. We now depend on loans that are not with us all season as things stand. It isn't time to start celebrating yet. But at least things are looking up for once. Or are we wrong for being realistic?

It's always been the case people post more when we lose, years before sixfields. Hunan nature.

When we win it's "we weren't there" but doesn't stop anything when we lose.

The sad thing is Grendel does go, he could have commented positively and insightfully on the game before having a pop.

Human Nature yes but also because of the passion for our team and disappointment when we lose.
Just listen to CWR when we win can't get anyone to phone in but the regulars, when we lose you can't get on.
TBF I have been to many away games in my life and have listened to the local radio stations it is exactly the same No matter who you support.
Just pisses me off that some think this is unique to Coventry and use it to prove a point like only Cov fans do this and that, just utter bollox trying to point score and make out they are better then the rest.

City played really well yesterday against a team that is fancied to do very well in this league. If we keep playing in that fashion we will win more than we will lose.

The reason there were less comments on yesterday's win than there were on last week's defeats is simple. More people saw the two defeats, one was on the box and the other was away, as we take more away than we have turn up in Northampton.
90% of us are proud to say we didn't see yesterday's game. Therefore we can't comment.

So 90% won't comment when we lose and they haven't seen it?

What's so difficult to understand?
More of us commented after the Bradford defeat because we took more there than we had at home yesterday, meaning more people had opinions or constructive comments to make.
The 90% represents the percentage of us who don't go to home games, following our relocation.
Simple really.

I generally wont comment on a game I haven't seen as how can I have a valid opinion on something I haven't watched? I might comment on an actual result but that isn't always indicative of a performance.

However once or twice criticism has been directed at me that I don't care about the football as I never comment on it, so I guess you cant win either way.

Reality check.

Yes a good 3 points.

However the fact is that despite the best efforts of the manager and players yesterday, the club is in a worse position today than it was 48 hours ago, thanks to the owners.

We do. Tim Fisher has been sporting that horrendous beard for a further two days and that looks worse every time I see it.

Maybe the Lotto-thingy idea has failed miserably & in an effort to raise substantial funds from it - rather than a cash prize, the winner gets to wax his face? At half time in every "home" game?

Instant sell-outs all round!!!
