Mental that we're paying big money for facilities like turnstiles.

I wouldn't pay my landlord for a new door because it's too old.

You might if it would help you make more money out of the place for the next few years. Especially if you were thinking about buying it somewhere down the line.

It’s an ease of use investment for consumers. In theory it could improve the experience of going to games (less queues etc).

I would imagine though it’s digital proof and in the future majority of ST holders will be expected to have a digital ticket, reducing costs for production and admin. So not making money but probably saving. I would like to think there’s been some sort of cost analysis that make it worthwhile.

Could prove interesting for anyone without the hardware to do that

Agreed. I would like to think there would be exemptions.

I’m not against it but imagine some of our older generation of fans may struggle. I share my partner’s ST with my cousin and am worried this could cause issues sharing it.

So we pay for the pitch, lighting, turn styles etc.

I wonder if that then comes out of rent or how it works?

No I’m replying to the guy who said it’s a step towards total ticketless turnstiles

All tickets for Edgbaston are similar but you have to access them through their dog shit app which doesn't work properly if you can't get signal, which you can't when there's thousands of people at Edgbaston. But despite that they seem to get everyone in without much hassle.

So in theory tickets you can save to a digital wallet in advance and don't need signal for should be a piece of piss but given a lot of our fans seem to struggle with a printed ticket I expect chaos.

In terms of sharing will probably make that much harder but from the clubs perspective I guess you're technically breaking the terms and conditions so unfortunately they most likely give a second thought to that scenario.

Should the club get promotion into the premier league then digital tickets will be a
mandatory requirement from 2026, replacing paper tickets and plastic cards.

Normally a scheme in place to be able to
Forward the ticket on to someone. At Liverpool for example you have a friends and family list, and anyone on that list can be forwarded your season ticket on a game by game basis.

@Sky Blue Pete Have they allocated a security team to the bike sheds? Also, any news on lockers to store helmet and leathers?
Thanks.
If im honest, and im not sure this is the right place to voice my problems, but my anxiety and psoriasis have really flared up recently, especially with the new season only a short time away. I want to know If my bike and belongings will be safe from vandals each match day. Cyclists deserve rights too.
Thanks Pete.
