Today I expect Everton to lose and be in serious peril of coming down to the Championship.
Norwich and Watford are also down.

From these 3 sides, how do you think the season will transpire? Will Norwich once again be a team to beat/ I don't personally think it will happen for them tis time. Watford, what will they acheive? WBA have not had a good season and I expect Watford will be much the same.
Then there is Everton potentially. They would lose the better players and have to recruit. lampard will probably leave as they will need an experienced manager who knows the Championship imo. I can see them imploding further, and I can see them running away with it.
For us, has it made our task that much more difficult? Or have we progressed enough to get the performances we need to make the playoffs?

We may finish between 10th and 14th this season - we will lose at least one key player and need to also offload big wage earners not good enough to be starting - our form over the last 75% of the season shows us in the bottom 6

so no one has any idea until we see the squad we can assemble

We need a proper budget but I doubt we will get that we will sell players and robins will have the miracle worker task of replacing them with cheap finds

Norwich were lucky last time as they had a younger and better quality group of players and were able to keep most of them. Next season, they will struggle to dominate. I don't think they have the same quality and those players that stuck around are older. Watford look like they could bounce back with the players they have but it depends on whether they can keep the core of their squad or have to sell.

Personally, I think either Leeds or Everton will be the dominant team next year.

As for us, I would really hope that we use this season as inspiration and the team is improved on. I would like a CB as we are still shipping too many goals and McFadz isn't getting any younger. JCS would be a class signing if we can get him but I'd expect him to go to a lower Prem or top Champ team. Otherwise, we need to focus on strikers. How many games could we have put to bed early if we'd taken chances ? Our failure to convert our attempts on goal have really let us down.

I would love to say we'll finish top 10 but there are a lot of variables to consider between now and the start of next season.

I hope Forest and Sheffield United join Fulham both would be serious challengers next season I think Bournemouth will financially implode if they miss out.
Everton would be serious challengers as would Leeds, Burnley not sure. Both Norwich and Watford will be around the top end too.
Going to be similar to this season we can certainly challenge the top six again.

Due to congested fixture schedule next season as a result of the World Cup, we have to build a bigger squad and I don’t know if we will be offloading big wage earners like Waghorn who’ve done little this season. For every piece of deadwood we ship out, we have to replace and add to what we have, and on a limited budget the task becomes even more difficult. So the only other avenue may be to sell a key player. Seems like there will be quite a few out of contract players at other teams this summer. Will be glad not to play Bournemouth next season, but will miss not playing Fulham and Peterborough. Hope Wycombe make it up from L1 playoffs.

If Everton do get relegated (fingers crossed) they may well implode financially, and I wouldn't be suprised if they get hit with a Derby sized points deduction! The cheating scouse twats have been fiddling the books for years, they deserve to get punished.

Who knows what will happen at the end of this season I know keeping vik, hamer, and ohare we should be classed as potential play off team ,it's just we need to build on it and depends what robins has budget wise to bring in added quality to push us up to being a real challenger.

We need to keep our “big” three or replace them with better who will possibly cost as much wage wise and perhaps a fee.

Maybe this has been covered on some other thread but, in the context of next season, I'm surprised that someone hasn't mentioned the dramatic decline in our home form. Simply put, we gained more points from our opening 6 home games than we have from the subsequent 17. Whatever the cause, this has to be sorted out for next season.

Everton are gonna be well and truly screwed if they come down and dont go straight back up, I expect them to offload their top players like Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, Gray, Allan, Pikford, Keane, Mina, Doucore and Alli, but even then they should have a more than capable Championship team with the likes of Godfrey, Holgate, Begovic, Rondon, Townsend, Mykolenko, Coleman, Davies, Delph, Iwobi, Gordon and Tosun. Then they will have money to strengthen so you will see players similar level to Cantwell, Grimes, Twine, Dike, Mowatt, Grant, Jed Wallace or even Hamer, and obviously some defenders but none come to mind

Like to think I'm fairly open minded but no place for that on a football pitch imo
