Feeling quite defiant this morning and hungry to get going again straight away, get those season ticket on sale and sorted

The manager and the players who remain with us will be gutted for now but so much stronger for that experience last night and I’m
looking forward to seeing Lampard have a full summer to work with the players and a transfer window to bring his own men in

None of this pissing around in 17th/18th place in October, let’s just get our foot on the gas from the off and you never know what might happen

The start is key, we've been slow starters too many times in recent seasons.

Have a good summer transfer window, start strong, and we'll be flying.

We are always shit at the start of the season and I can't see it changing next season tbh. We will probably lose MVE, Haji, Simms and a few more and the 'rebuild' will be back on. Slow start, yet again and then finally pull our fingers out towards the new year.

That was always an excuse TBH. The coaching staff changing as well. Plenty of players and staff come in and have instant impact. We are still complaining about the same stuff we were two years ago about most of these players.

Every team has the same issues yet they don't all shit the bed

Also, "losing" Simms isn't the way i would describe it

Imagine having Grimes for a full season. Him and Dovin made a huge difference from January.
He and Rudoni are two top players at this level.

But those are the players that are always slow to start

Get them out and get some blokes in with bollocks and we'll fly

Well, we started slowly under Robins in most seasons in his second spell.

Anything that happened before the Lampard-era is irrelevant for now. Let’s see how pre-season and season start goes under Lampard.
