Are you serious? Go back all the way to when he started if you like - there’s the evidence.

Football wouldn't be pretty but David Moyes for me, even though i want us to keep Robins as i think we will turn it around but not good enough for play offs this season. Finish 9th - 12th.

I think Robins goes, Ashley takes over and Robins comes back for a third time with the staff he wants. Got Brian Clough written all over this back room staff.

No, what destroyed us was making rash decisions. A merry go round of hiring & firing sh*t managers every 12 months.

Do you know what has got us back? Stability.

We're 9 games in and we have a thread discussing our next manager. So much for our great fans. I hope we get relegated if you lot convince DK to pull the trigger.

David Moyes managing in the Championship?! That is, to be charitable, wishful thinking.

You appoint a manager who is happy to work with young players and has a proven track record of developing them if that's your model.

Who uses that model?
Who doesn't bother with experienced players in the, squad?
Probably the best club at utilising the player trading model is Brighton, they still employ a few experienced over 30s.

We've stripped our squad of experience.

I don’t post a lot and will probably be hung out to dry for this but here goes.

Mark Robins re-joined us whilst we were a massive downward trajectory and has got us into a position of upward trajectory, League 2 oblivion to 1 penalty kick away from the Premier League, 4 Wembley appearances, a toenail away from an F A Cup final and a 5th Wembley appearance and all in 7 years.

I’ve never had it so good in my 49 years following the Sky Blues, now 10 games into the new season and he’s starting to get dogs abuse for a poor start “yeah but since Leeds last season as well blah blah blah” and we’re now questioning his management abilities and calling for his head, just wow. How quickly we have become entitled.

Not to be disrespectful here but are we becoming a wealthy man’s plaything? Doug King’s vision and new model army? Yeah that’s working out well. Get behind the man who got us to where we are now, and the team, and give him the respect that he deserves.

Sunderland last season are an interesting case study - very young team that struggled for the second half of last season, their owner following the sign em, develop em, flog em model. This summer they sign one or two experienced players and are now top of the league even after selling their best player.

Or it could be some relatively unknown manager/coach . Not heard of the Norwich manager before they appointed him.

Not gonna judge I’m the same with Ian Evatt at Bolton .

The Colombus crew manager might be a shout, same with the malmo one.

Think of looking to England, the Lincoln boss has started well, same with the Stockport boss.

He's a bit young to have gone up against Jock Stein. He was way out of his depth at Rangers.

This isn’t a choice between King and Robins and those that pretend it is miss the point.

This is a decision as to whether we think Robins can do something at Coventry that he has not achieved his entire management career, promotion to the Premier League.

I’m on the fence currently but I think promos from lg2 and lg1 are not evidence that he can do it from the championship, and that is our ambition.

You know was thinking more about other options.

What would we make of Ruben Sellés. Doing very well in bad circumstances with Reading. Plays good football and more importantly works with a very young squad?

I think most of us agree with that but if MR can't, or doesn't want to work under Doug King's "new model army" what do we do?
There is an astonishing difference to me between previous displays under MR and now. Previously we have always had fighting characters in the team. Remember how we brought in Doyle, Kelly, and later McFadz, Godden etc.
This team NEEDS 1 or preferably 2 tough experienced leaders but for some reason we don't have any. Crazy!

.i suspect the club thought Kitchin and Thomas were also battling types to be fair.

We have an ex international coach amongst our ranks, Boateng Ghana U21's.......................... would you want him to take over??
No, I thought not.
Nobody in that bunch of fannies has experience at this level, and we don't have a leader on the pitch, Doug needs to stop counting the profits from sales, get experienced players in and concentrate on the big bucks,ie Promotion!!!

The Mick Beale chat simply has to stop. He was essentially found out to be a charlatan.

I don't see anyone out there better than what we have (who would be interested in us), the issue Doug has is nobody will come in and work with the merry men he has assembled to support Robins. So does he sack them all?

IF we do make a change it'll be because you can only lose so many games as a manager before you go, that's just the nature of the game we love.
