Worth asking Carsley imo. Maybe he could use his FA contacts to get us a couple of half decent referees.

Nah you’re alright - I sat through him playing keep it tight agaisnt Crewe for 80 mins when we were 3-0 down in the JPT. We smashed them for 10 minutes and should have turned that around.

If we went with some of these suggestions I could see us being really bad and only getting like 8 points from 10 games or something..

You're all bonkers. Robin's is going nowhere. The only thing moving is us up the table. Calm yourselves.

Not as a manager no. Assistant or coach (with one or two going), would be happy but needs to develop a lot further.

So... I was a little tongue in cheek (tbh I am still in the (admittedly increasingly delusional) Robins will fix this camp) but are we really judging Carsley on one of his first games 12 years ago when he was in his 30s?

If Carsley is our next manager I’ll throw myself off the top of the CBS

At the moment not wanting Robin to go but he's on borrow time. IMO
If he did perhaps with Steven Schumacher if they could work together. and like skyblue 55 says "Doyle lots of passion and takes no shit."

Imagine Steven would have his own number two from his Plymouth and Stoke days.

2bh it’s more I haven’t forgiven him for that - we played like we were 3-0 up. even if we’d have started 5 minutes earlier I’m convinced we’d have won that

We assembled a modern day coaching setup to align us with the modern game. Hiring Michael Doyle would be hilarious. Most of the suggestions are fucking stupid and I wouldn’t have any of them over Robins. This is why I feel so conflicted about it all

To be fair, if Robins goes it’ll be a hard task for anyone let alone people like us who are fans of football. Sure the analytics would be able to pull a rabbit out the hat (or at least have blind faith they wouldn’t hire Russell slade )

This thread is shameful. i can only assume people posting either
a) have very short memories
b) didn’t watch us regularly when Robins took over
For what he done for our club he deserves our support at what we know is a difficult time for him personally and professionally. He will not be here forever and he may be gone in weeks but please he deserves our respect.

I’m obviously not suggesting Hodgson, I just mean that calibre of prem manager, like a manager that used to manage lower table prem team.

You’ll get some prick who has been on an FA course and coached the Bradford U12 Girls team who calls himself “Head Coach” and you’ll be happy.

Ex lower prem manager? Knowing our luck we would probably end up with Frank Lampard or Tim Sherwood. Peter Reid for Eric Black springs to mind

Do your research-progressive manager from Norway that has a great tactical nous and has taken a lower league team to top tier.
