Mowbury? Rosenior but doubt he would move, Lampard talks a good game don't see anyone better out there that would come.

Genuine question, do you think we could tempt an ex-prem manager to manage us if Robins was sacked? Not talking Mourinho obviously, just wonder if the Moyes/Hodgson types would consider a drop down to the championship or is that a bit ridiculous?

John Eustace, but my assumption is we’ll be looking at a coach from abroad

Probably a bit silly for us just considering our wages for which a Moyes would demand. Think we’d be better looking for young managers coming up the leagues or abroad who can bring a tactical identity to the club.

Id look at Luke Williams, Henrik Rydstrom (might be a bit too far for us but was linked to a championship role), Michael Skubala or Ian Evatt.

Will probably be an unknown foreigner or Neil Warnock. I would like the Lincoln manager, has done a great job there.

My shortlist would be these 5:

Frank Lampard
Liam Rosenior
Luke Williams
John Eustace
Lee Carsley

Couldn’t see Lee Carsley as seems settled in National football. Liam Rosenior would be good but he’s just got a new role so might be hard to get out of the role.

Would be interested in Luke Williams think he did a fantastic job at Notts but wonder about if Swans would let him go or if he would be interested. Similar to John.

Frank Lampard is a bit of a wildcard but would lean to looking elsewhere just due to a lack of real success in the modern game as a manager (unless I’ve missed something).

Wonder if Patrick Vieira would come. Out of management and might want another shot in England although assume wages would be an issue.

Never heard of him until now but he's got a pretty good win rate. His name pushes the needle to yes.

Worth asking Carsley imo. Maybe he could use his FA contacts to get us a couple of half decent referees.

Win rate is half the story. He managed the team in the 2nd division where they won 26 of 30 games having been relegated the season before. Since their return to the top flight, he has a win %age of 59.2% and a PPG of 1.98.

Of more interest is his playing and pressing style. Granted I’ve only read about it and watched some clips, but it seems it would suit the personnel we have already.

I also think that when the time comes, taking someone from abroad with his kind of background would feel a lot better than choosing a worn out English manager from the scrapheap.

So he has no credentials for a Championship job other than showing passion?
