Yep me too, I hate the trip, will most likely give that a swerve this time on a Monday. Was there, cracking finish
All our midweek games this side of Xmas are horrible. Millwall is a great day out on a Saturday, but getting out of London is a nightmare by coach. Pompey, Boro and PNE are all games where you’ll be home by 1:30-2:00 if things go to plan. Will be more if we have a cup run plus other moves as the season plays out.
I also think anyone that goes to this on a Monday night should receive at least 50 points.
We went by train, took forever. Would just get the coach this time.Yep me too, I hate the trip, will most likely give that a swerve this time on a Monday.
I think we spent most of the game that day calling the drummer on that stand a nonce.
Edit: this was of course before we discovered that ours actually was one!
Be careful on long journeys matey! I had a bad experience driving back from Hull away in 23/24.Despite the result had a bloody good day out at Norwich a few seasons ago - We got drummed 3-0 in the purple kit and it was really hot, the beers flowed nicely
Shame I will have to drive to this one
Yes I remember it well - I am pretty sure that is the game Robins and Vik had the rumoured 'fall out' hence why Walker was playingTyler Walker was playing and there was nothing wrong with Fadz's goal!
That was a road closure after a bad accident that caused that though. A62 possibly but I can't remember. Sat Nav kept trying to take me back into the route.Be careful on long journeys matey! I had a bad experience driving back from Hull away in 23/24.
That was my attitude for years, I was completely apathetic to the result as I expected us to be crap, but if the day out was good it was classed as a successful trip and getting a result was a bonus - Had some good days during the doldrum years as a resultThe good thing about away days is that it isn’t just about the result. Travelling across the country with a good group of mates can make the journey just as important as the destination.
Portsmouth away was one of, if not the favourite day out last season. I was annoyed it was midweek this season because HMS Victory is on the bucket list!
QPR away not moved - that’s a relief for the London beers/day out
Do you not get the two tiers anymore?Tiny allocation now though. Bit of a shame.
What’s the allocation at QPR nowadays?Tiny allocation now though. Bit of a shame.

Looks like trains are no go regardless that weekend as the line is shut between Newport and SwanseaLast train is early too, about 18:53!
One of my mates was saying there was a rail replacement service so coach it is.Looks like trains are no go regardless that weekend as the line is shut between Newport and Swansea
I really don’t understand why we can’t just have the 3 pm blackout removed. The alternative of having games on at times nobody particularly wants can get in the bin.One of my mates was saying there was a rail replacement service so coach it is.
It is irritating that the TV schedulers do not seem to consider some of the logistical challenges involved with moving KOs here.
100% agreed - the (legitimate) reasons why it was implemented are no longer relevant.I really don’t understand why we can’t just have the 3 pm blackout removed. The alternative of having games on at times nobody particularly wants can get in the bin.
Gonna miss this one I will be flying back from Florida
