I wouldn't go for 8 I'd look at the next 11 taking us to half way. If our difficult start has been the issue then we should be picking up way more points in this bunch than the last. This also takes in all the festive fixtures which many have pointed as the turning point where our extended break may finally become an advantage.

If we're looking at the traditional survival mark of 50 points (may well be less) then we have to take 16 points from this 11, when we've taken 9 from the preceding 12, to take us to a halfway points total of 25. I struggle to see how we're going to suddenly turn on promotion form with 1 win in two after winning 2 in 12.

If I'm being generous can see us taking 14. Again, with the 50 post total not being absolute this could have us in a good position but we're starting to feel the pinch. If I'm right about the first three then the Rotherham game is huge as we'd have been without a win in so long and failed to turn them over twice last season.

Great point, 4 from 6 points taken, arguably the hardest, if not most important games out the way.

Results of the oher teams in our mini league are going our way too. Really important game up next. Can pull well clear of Derby. PUSB

A little optimistic...but you may not be too far off. What today shows is we don’t have to fear anybody.

+3 after 2 games, very happy. Make it plus 5 on Tuesday and I'll be ecstatic.

True, would have done wonders for the fringe players conference.

Pre match that team selection did feel like a bit of a pragmatic admission that we were likely to lose. Nice to have got the point and head into the Derby match with slightly fresher legs

Having had some horrendous times at Forrest and Darby in the past it does please me somewhat to see them struggling

Still +3 as I put a draw for this one.

Makes Saturday a massive game though as I've got us for a win. We're outperforming what I expected just enough to be on what we need at midway at the moment but lose where I think we win and we're back to hoping. the points are enough.

Sheff Wednesday now down to 10 men, and Reading have equalised.

And another but.......

If my aunt was my uncle and my dog was my cat we would have got 10 points from our last 3 games if we had played the players we don't have.

Shame Brum and Derby won but we are definitely the form team in our mini team. Luton will be tricky but we can keep this run going 😁 PUSB

We should probably include QPR in this mini league as I think we can surpass them as well. We’re level on points with them right now. They’ve had 1 win and 3 losses in the last 4 matches btw.

Brum have found a bit of form. We are still doing really well, find it heartening that we are doing better than Sheff Wed even if you discount the points reduction. Nottingham Forest are on an awful run, harsh fixtures but can't be good for their moral

I like this Alkhen. Good work.

Dare I say it - Wycombe look like they're due a win and we're normally pretty good at helping teams end runs. Now not as confident about Satutday. Cheers Alkhen :-(

No worries, just thought it would be nice to put our results into some context.

Agreed, Wycombe will be tough. They are desperate for a win and a lot of their team will be out for revenge for us mauling them last season. Really hope we go for it, 3 pts would widen that gap nicely. need to build a cushion for the new year when the fixtures look harder

With Wycombe I'm hoping it'll be one of those games Fadz thrives on. Head it away all day long.

Important win, Huddersfield up next in front of the Sky cameras. Would be great to get some points, they got battered today we shall see how that affects them.

Tricky fixtures for our rivals too, could really pull away here.

If we take 47 as the magic number to stay up we need to average a point a game +1. With 18 games gone and 21 points that is looking good even after the tough fixture list to start. Really positive stuff!

Chugging along nicely. 3 pts on Saturday would be nice but would take another draw.
