All going to plan we should get 21 points. Defiately will be favorites going into every game, but when have things ever gone to plan?

No we are not favourites tonight, away from home, blooding some new players ... no one in the front end is proven, so we need to win, desperately and I think we have a chance too ... but will we, touch and go.

It's now or never for a play off push, if we don't put a proper run together in the sequence of games then we are never going to do it.

Notts C
Bradford
Tranmere
Shewsbury
Colchester
Gillingham

Should be targeting 15 points from these 6 games as we have ground to make up.

Have a look at Walsall and Peterborough's fixtures over this period as well - They both have very tough runs. I strongly think come the end of March we could be within touching distance of the top 6 (providing we can bring a decent striker in on loan and avoid a flood of injuries). The run in over April and May looks a lot tougher for us.

Can we get a striker in before County? When does the window open?

Friday I think. Cutting it a bit fine. Think they need to be signed by midday on Friday.

I got the impression Waggot & Pressley had a list of targets, so lets hope the ground work can be done quickly.

You would hope so. Could be up against Championship clubs for players though. Will have to wait and see I guess.

We definitely owe tranmere one and maybe Bradford too as I think that last min goal up there knocked us for six and set up that poor run of games!

Loan window opens Saturday so no new players for Saturday but 1 or 2 strikers needed especially a bigger hold up man with EXPERIENCE, we have enough young ones. Also Wilson scheduled back in a month so that's not long to wait and will come back when we have tougher games. I know he didn't join us but jon stead would of been a great signing. But would settle for similar. Next 6 games are crucial to play offs.

13 points from next 6 . will not be too bad
you would expect Walsall to take maybe 9 from their next 5 games on average
Would leave us 4 points behind them, with the home game v walsall to come

so 12 has to be the absolute minimum target i think

Need champions form now if we are going to push for that play off spot. See you all at County on Saturday.

I believe our starting 11 is capable but it will be the size of our squad that will let us down.
Players at this level will have a dip in form, add suspensions & injuries to this and we don't have much on the bench when the pressure starts to build.
If this weather persists chances are they will be more games pp as well so fixtures may stack up.

Still whatever happens we would have taken this position at the start of the season and can be very proud of what they have done this season not matter where we finish.
Personally I think we will miss out, top 10 finish.

As a rule of thumb from the relegation days I always said if we had more points to make up than games left it won't happen. By that logic (and I realise teams at the bottom don't pick up as many points) then we can still do it.

The next 7 are massive. Go into the run in with a chance, Wilson coming back and fans on a high and anything can happen.

Remember Crystal Palace!

Port Vale 2 points more than us and 1 game in hand, I only see 6th spot as possible, going to be really tough...

i think port vale might fall away. could be wrong on that.

walsall, swindon,mk dons and pboro will be our biggest rivals for 6th i think.

So if we were two points off safety with 1 game to play, then we were as good as down? :thinking about:

I don't think any of those teams look particularly strong or consistent, at the same time I'm doubtful we can make up the points.

my thoughts exactly.

it would be touch and go with 10pts, let alone without

mammoth effort required.

16 of our next 18 games are against teams with less points than us (assuming you add back on the 10 point deduction) so between now and the rest of the season we only face 2 better teams on paper.

I guess they are points won which makes counting the -10 valid, putting it like that we have a decent run in then, piece of cake

We have also gained 32 points already this season from the teams remaining, which if repeated would leave us on 69 points.

The lowest 6th place points tally in the last 6 years was 71. With this in mind we need to up our game considerable to stand a chance.
