I am worried about these Oxford win, Boro Loss, WBA win, SU Draw, Stoke Win, ambitious but, hopefully 10 points from 15?

I am usually pretty positive, but I have a horrible feeling we might only get one point out of the Oxford and Boro matches.

Waiting til the close of business tonight to see if anyone else is coming in, but as it stands now...

Oxford 1-1
Middlesbrough 1-2
WBA 2-1
Sheff Utd. 0-0
Stoke 1-1

I know,.I know, that would be an awful return. 6 points from 5 matches.

I will revisit this tonight though, after the deadline

Oxford (H) - WIN
Middlesborough (H) - DRAW
WBA (A) - DRAW
Sheffield united (A) - LOSE
Stoke (H) - WIN

Middlesbrough game we must not lose, probably be tight and cagey. Awful record at Brammall Lane and them hunting the playoffs. Very poor record at West Brom so that one could go either way, hopefully we can sort out our away form starting in that game.

need 1 point per game for play offs
1.9 for autos

win 7 of 9 at home including Boro
win 3 of 7 away including Hull

and we are there, but on current form thats a very big ask

Boro will tear us to pieces, narrow defeat at a dreadful West Brom, torn apart at Sheff Utd then should see off Stoke. I can’t see any better than that, we are not getting out of this rut as the manager refuses to adapt and the players look devoid of confidence and energy.

We are going to do a Sunderland.

We will go up. Confidently through the play offs.

As Lampard says, it’s a race now. No good looking at blocks of games. It’s win the next one and hope others lose

Can certainly see Middlesbrough, Ipswich and Hull all dropping points this month.
Ipswich have 4 away league games in a row now (5 including the FA cup).
Personally think Hull can't keep up this momentum either

Right, now it's confirmed Onyeka is here, I am going to re-assess my predictions.

Oxford - 2-0
Boro - 1-1
WBA 2-1
Sheff Utd 1-0
Stoke 2-1

So now instead of 6 points from 5 matches , we have gained 13 points.

Shame about the one draw, but .....

One at a time and see how the landscape changes across the whole league after each game. Next game must win is nonsense. But so is trying to predict results and form in five games time.

The more you look at the finish line the further it goes away One game at a time. Just for reference we are in February with 16 games to go. A potential 48 points to play for. Other teams good runs won't last forever. But now we need to find our rhythm again and prepare for a sprint finish.

Hang on in there and find your form when it matters which is on the run in.

8 points will likely mean out of top 2.

8 points would be a poor from 5 games.

You cannot remain top 2 if you cant pick up 2 ppg average.

9 would be acceptable. But would mean 3 wins and 2 defeats.

Personally i think 10 points is a minimum now.

8 PTS where one draw is Boro though would mean a game where they dropped pts too

I think we will win 3 of them personally though. I don't believe we are playing as badly as others do

If we beat Oxford...boro is a must not lose game.
If we draw with Oxford...boro is a must win.
4 points is minimum.

We will Beat West brom away. (Win)

Nothing Shef united. (Lose)

Then beat Stoke. (Win)

10 points.

Just about acceptable. Just about minimum!

But would mean 22 points from our last 16 games. Which is horrific form.

Yeah, if we can get 10 from these, we'd then need 20 points from the last 11 to get us to 88 points. I'd fail to see how that wouldn't get us promoted.

We'd then had the following home games left:

Preston
Southampton
Derby
Sheff Weds
Pompey
Wrexham

And away games vs:

Bristol City
Swansea
Hull
Blackburn
Watford

If we got 10 points from the next 5 and then beat Preston, Soton, Derby, Sheff Weds and Pompey, that would give us 83 points.

Then you'd want 2-5 from Wrexham (h) and the 5 away games.

you couldn’t pick a better run in, if we can’t get it done with those games then we never will,

Its cool. Think we are at that stage of the season where we need go at 2 ppg.

Boro/hull/ and Ipswich are averaging in around that recent form last 10.

Hull astonishingly won 8 out of 10.

We cant afford to go at 1.6ppg

1 - you have us keeping a clean sheet.
2 - that clean sheet is away from home.

Middlesboro at home is crucial.

We win at Oxford-Boro lose away to in form Sheff Utd.

We beat Boro and it’s a six point gap again.
