Well I have said all along that I think we will survive.

We are looking like we are cutting it fine though.

Not saying it is simple. Nothing of the sort.

Just saying we are bottom 5 and our form is worse than 3 of the bottom 4.

I have faith in Mowbray, but do not have the same faith in the players.

And I'm just saying we have enough about us to pick up enough points against poor teams.

I don't think our record against poor teams has been good this season to be honest.

Well thank God he's gone.

If he was still here I think I would be thinking relegation.

Agreed. I have faith in Mowbray but not the players. As I keep saying there's a big difference between a group of 'good' individual players and a good squad.

Exactly. And we sure as hell aren't playing like a team.

The reason why the next 5 games are grouped is important. I know a win is a win; be it vs. Bristol, or Yeovil. Still 3 points regardless.

We must get some momentum going and hopefully get 6 points, because the next group of 3, are:L Orient (H), Notts County (A) and Colchester (H).

I think County could well fall, but the importance of these 3 games may be pivotal. PUSB

Edit...7point+ might be needed from these 3.

I've been in touch with RFC and he's told me we'll get 8 points from those last 3 games (Tim and his financial advisers had calculated it apparently)

They've probably pencilled in 11points from these 3 games.

Mowbray has been given little time to turn around his predecessor's shambles though. How long was it before Robins got a win?

To get some perspective and realise its not all doom and gloom then those stats Otis show clearly what I've said before : we are drawing too many and 1 point for a draw too many times is what's putting us in this mess. TM should be able to turn draws into wins even with this squad in my opinion, if he's any good that is!

And league positions can quickly change, look at Barnsley 5 games ago they were only 4 points ahead of us.

Take a look at the league table, we are losing touch with the teams above us. We could get 3 wins and not be much further up than we are now or we could get three losses and be bottom of the table.

the last 10 games' form table is ......

Yevoil W2, D4, L4

Crawley W3, D1, L6

Colchester W3, D1, L6

Leyton O W3, D1, L6

City, it is W1, D4, L5.

So over the last 10 games we are harder to beat than Crawley, Cochester or Leyton Orient.

We keep drawing though and not winning and we will almost certainly go down.

Can't think of too many tougher runs of fixtures than this one.

Bradford at home - 2 points off the top 6

Chesterfield away - 2 points off the top 6

Fleetwood away - 2 points off the top 6

Doncaster home - In top 6

Peterborough away - Level on points with Doncaster in 6th place.

Not saying we can't win any of these, but it would be much better to be playing midtable teams right now, rather than those in with a great chance of the play-off positions.

Last 7 games

Port Vale 2 points out of top 6

Barnsley -2 GD out of top 6

MK Dons 4th

Sheff Utd 5th

Scunny Been pulling away from the bottom.

Preston 2nd

Rochdale 3 points out of top 6 but games in hand on most clubs.

The next 5 games don't seem easy but they seem easier than the last 7

Not sure that helps much, Astute. We only won one of those 7 games and weren't people saying we would beat Barnsley and Port Vale?

So after we have won those 5 games we will be 15 points better off and pushing for the play off's.
Think lucky and a miracle just might happen.

It already does, we are hovering above relegation to the fourth tier and are legitimately trembling at the prospect of facing Chesterfield and Fleetwood.

3 games ago i said 20 points needed from 15 games at 5 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats
that is now 17 from 12 games at 4 wins 5 draws and 3 defeats

Really cant see it, based on saturdays performance

its not worrying imo. no team should be feared in league one this year, hence why we dont really get thrashed.

Problem is you lose 3-2 or 10 -0 you still get nil points.

We will never be able to survive like the second half (again) and come away with all 3 points. I certainly wouldn't want to be showing that video as a model in how to get 3 points; welcome as they surely were.

It used to be a regular occurrence even back in Div 1, we'd fall into bottom 2, 3 and pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Champions Everton on a Sunday dinner time springs to mind.

The players were playing for their shirts and place for next summer.

Spot the difference?~

TM in all this is a key factor. Having a good manager should make a real difference.
