Sheffield Wednesday, Reading, Blues, Forest. Crucial we pick up some good points over the next month as February looks quite daunting. Pleased to have 26 points at the half way stage though. Hopefully a rest now and a couple of signings can see us really push on in 2021. Unbeaten this year. PUSB!

Just glad to have the points on the board. Yes Rotherham have 3 games in hand but they've got to play catch up

Not the only ones, though it's taken its toll on us with injuries it's not a bad thing we've had no postponements

They looked like they'd stopped the rot before the COVID problems, now pretty mean 4 away in a row

If all the teams below us win all their games in hand only Millwall would catch us

A useful list.
8 points would be excellent but I'd be pretty happy with 5 and 4 wouldnt be that bad.

Three games we can improve on our first half of the season results there. Encouraging.

We are at 23 games - half way - and on points per game, 17th. I suspect somewhere a couple of places higher would be great by the season end.

Of our results so far this season beating the much better placed Reading sticks out as the oddball. Conversely we should do much better in the reverse fixtures with Sheffield, Forest and Brum. By coincidence these are our next four fixtures, so January is important when considering the season in the round.

The difference from the start of the season is the defence. Return of Dabo and MacCallum, the rapid maturing of Ostigaard. We won't get rolled over quite so easily by the top teams so I have a bit more confidence we can pick up some points in unexpected places in February.

PS. Will somebody explain which hole in our team Danny Crowley fills other than 'coventry kid'. we need a big striker who can hold the ball up and create chances for others. An old fashioned target man.

Not confident tbf going into these next games with max & Baka as options up front surely we’ve got to bring a striker in before the Wednesday game...crucial tbh

Realistically we’d have to sell to get anyone other than a young unproven loan which is often hit or miss

7 points would be a good return as forest away are getting draws but games against brum and sheff we'd are winnable.

The key is not to lose to those around us, I’d take 5 points from that if it was a defeat to Reading, and then 2 draws and a win

Reading wasn't as weird as people make out. We did pretty well against the current top 7 even though the points don't show it. Norwich admittedly were a shadow of their normal selves but we drew and didn't look out of place. Swansea, we should have won apart from the defence letting Ayew through for his goal. Watford was a close game which we lost to a goal in the last 10 mins, similar in fact to the result at Middlesboro. Can't recall the Brentford game so won't say much about that. The only team we did struggle against was Bournemouth, who outfought and outkicked us. Even our worst result, Blackburn, was an unfair telling of our ability as we played 75 mins with 10 men.

As for the next 4 games, they're against 3 teams we should have beaten and had chances to take the points and one we have already shown we can beat. If Robins can work wonders in the transfer window (can't see us shipping any out though), all 4 are winnable and should be considered so.

<<I will stick in an addendum that this opinion will not change my crazy ability of predicting the incorrect scoreline in match threads >>

The league is obviously the priority but we also have the FA Cup next week against Norwich, who are back to full strength, so that may be a time to rest some key players and let the backups prove their worth.

Too much time on my hands and found myself watching extended highlights of Wednesday v Derby on YouTube. Wednesday were absolutely awful. How the hell they survived the game and scrambled a winner is beyond the pale.
If we play anything like we have against preston and Millwall we will guarantee 3 points.

I believe that lad Parrot is getting recalled by Spurs and they want him to go to another Championship club, I'd definitely consider him based on what I saw yesterday.

the game turned in their favour when he came on and he won the pen. I don't think he's been playing particularly well but he looked OK yesterday. Certainly better than Baka.

Forest aren't just getting draws though, in the last 5 fixtures they've won 2 and drawn 3. Sheffield Wednesday have also hit form as of late winning 3/4 previous games and drawing once. Both fixtures have also been made all the more difficult given our lack of quality up front.

Personally I think 7 points is going to be a tall order.

Yes!....we only picked up 4 points in the reverse fixtures... including a surprising 3 against Reading.

Forest and Wednesday in better form too. All tough games.

We did, but one good result against a struggling team doesn't automatically mean we're likely to hit near-on promotion form over the next 4 games. Especially against in-form sides who will be full of confidence.

Yes, he did look OK, movement and looked quick and strong, exactly what we need.
