AN abandoned car has sparked a major terror alert in Holbrooks. The car was spotted in Holbrook Way by police officers during a routine check of the area at around 1.20pm today. Armed police are currently searching the car and surrounding derelict land and the bomb squad has been called in. Holbrook Way was closed to traffic shortly after 3.15pm. The site being searched is close to the Ricoh Arena (City of Coventry Stadium) which is hosting football games as part of the London 2012 Olympic Games. A spokeswoman from Coventry Police said the response had been heightened due to the extra security around the stadium.
