FLOODING is disrupting traffic across Warwickshire this morning (Thursday). Four areas are currently affected. In Shipston-on-Stour, Mill Street has been closed in both directions between Church Street and Fell Mill Lane. Honeybourne Road in Bidford-on-Avon is partially blocked in both directions from the Bidford Bridge junction. In Kenilworth, Castle Road between the Castle Hill and Brook side Avenue junctions has also been closed due to flooding. And Main Street in Wolston has been closed between its junctions with School Street and Brandon Lane. Meanwhile, flood alerts remain in place for rivers across Warwickshire. The Environment Agency has issued flood warning on parts of the Rivers Avon, Blythe, Leam, Anker and Dene. The Met Office has also issued amber and yellow severe weather warnings for the West Midlands, forecasting heavy rain and winds of up to 50 to 60 mph.
