A MAN was led to safety after fire broke out in a block of flats in Coventry last night. Two fire crews from Radford and Binley were called to the first floor kitchen, in Bridgecoat, Willenhall, at about 10pm. They found a fire involving a pan of food on the cooker of the two-storey block of flats. The man suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to Coventry’s University Hospital as a precaution.
