A PEACEMAKER who tried to break up a fight between two people outside a Coventry nightclub ended up with a fractured jaw. Police have released CCTV of a man they want to trace in connection with the attack - which happened outside Scholars in Vecqueray Street off Far Gosford Street at 2.30am on December 22. The 26-year-old stepped in to try to stop the argument between a friend and the attacker. But he was knocked to the floor and when he was taken to hospital doctors diagnosed a fractured jaw. Det Con Keith Clarkson, of force CID, said: “This was a vicious attack and the victim has suffered a nasty injury which could easily have been even worse. “We are asking anyone who recognises the man in the image to come forward and help us with our investigation. “If you have any information about what happened please call us as soon as possible.” Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
