A 44-year-old man has been found dead at his Coventry home just days after an attack in the city centre. Police are investigating a serious assault which police say happened after an incident at the Litten Tree pub in New Union Street in the early hours of Saturday. This morning a 44-year-old man was found dead at an address in the Stoke area of Coventry. Officers are investigating any link between the assault and the death.The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place tomorrow (Wednesday 19 December) to determine the cause of death.A 24-year-old man has been arrested this morning in connection with the incident.Detective Inspector Stuart Bell, who is leading the enquiry, said: "We would ask anyone who witnessed the assault which happened at around 1am on Saturday to contact us as soon as possible."Anyone with information about the incident should call Force CID at Willenhall Police Station on 10, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
