AN ARMED mass brawl in Rugby in which a machete was brandished has left one man needing plastic surgery. Four men were arrested after the fight involving up to ten people shortly after midnight on Sunday morning in Newbold. Warwickshire Police are appealing for information about the confrontation near Kirby Court, High Street in which men were reported to have been carrying weapons. On arrival officers found four men - aged 19, 23 and 27, 34 - leaving the scene and arrested them. A machete was among items uncovered at the scene. The fight saw three people taken to Coventry’s University Hospital including one man who underwent plastic surgery to an injury below his ear. The arrested men were questioned over allegations of wounding with intent and violent disorder. All have been bailed.
