Watford have been bringing millions of loan players in from Udinese so they've got a lot of decent players like McGinn who are surplus to requirements and will probably leave in January.

Oh, and I've only ever seen him play as a midfielder.

Is he a CM or winger? Because we are lacking in wingers :thinking about:

Plays centrally mainly but he's probably the type of player that could do a job out wide if needed.

I suppose we're going to have to replace the likes of Bailey, Henderson and possibly Moussa if we don't offer him a longer-term deal.

Don't get me wrong I don't want him out there

If we use him as a creative midfielder he could be a good signing. Maybe even as the link man between midfield and attack.

Only recently came back from a 16 month injury, maybe a short term or month to contract would be the best option here

Sorry Sutty just think we have too many of that type of player - not wingers not central midfield players, kind of link player - Feck, Baker, Sheffers, moussa....Barton even..

werll if he comes im happy as numbers are needed. More players for competion the better in my opinion. Would like some pace but we never seem to get any players with pace so ill take creative or good delivery.

As the season draws to a close, it`s time for players, managers and the relevant hierarchy to sit down and discuss the future of certain players. In this series Vital Watford look at the futures of those who are out of contract, out of favour, or only on-loan at Vicarage Road.

This week it`s the turn of Stephen McGinn. Get involved by commenting below to let us know whether or not you agree or disagree.

At the time of writing Stephen McGinn is yet to enter the field for the first-team this season as he recovers from a serious knee injury sustained at Doncaster over 14 months ago.

However, from what we saw last season of the wee Scot, we`ve got a decent player on our hands. With Prince Buaben flattering to deceive all too often in the creative midfield slot, McGinn could very likely re-claim his spot next season ahead of the Ghanaian. It certainly won`t be easy having spent such a long period out, and it will not be as immediate as many people hope, but from what we have seen of the former St Mirren schemer, he`s a player well worth keeping. Tidy on the ball, intelligent and always looking to keep the ball grounded, he is probably what we`ve been crying out for at times. Whether or not he`ll live up to the expectation he`s been afforded after such a period of absence remains to be seen but he is still only young. Give him a new contract.

From what I gather was at fault for their 2nd goal yesterday is slow and pretty much a carbon copy of Conor Thomas............Another pointless signing if it actually happens which I very much doubt

If it does happen. We'd probably have to send one of the other loan players back. We can't play them all as it is

Brown is no longer in favour (thank fook for that; surely hes got rid of the flu by now, and Robins just prefers the other 5 available to us), and Henderson was a stop gap signing imo until we got Bailey, who is the much better player imo so these two are dispensable.

10 goals in 6 years 2 since 2010 (I appreciate he has had a major inury), but come on he wasn't exactly prolific BEFORE his injury.

Cov do not need another midfielder who cannot score. Wh have fleck and jennings for that role!

WHY oh WHY isn't Louis Garner getting the call? When I saw him at Hinckley he was miles ahead of Fleck!
