Fook me! I knew we needed some more physicality, but Martin Johnson?

We don't need anymore rugby players on our hallowed pitch!

Midfield looks too light-weight for me. Jackson I like as an impact player. Pacy player run at defenders last 30 mins. Take Jackson out and put Thomas in to partner Barton in the middle

Yes, I'm afraid so.

Jordan Willis is our best defender, why leave him out? Surely a better RB than Phillips? I've seen Phillips bottle loads of challenges in his short career.

Adam Barton's career has been one good game followed by ten useless ones. Surely it would be silly to pin our hopes on him?

For Saturday's game I would keep everything the same, apart from Jackson, I'd swap him out for Madine.

I am hoping that when Swanson recovers from injury he can be useful in a 4-4-2 formation and allowing either Fleck or O'Brien to move back into the middle with Conor Thomas.

I would go with that too, though personally I do like the big target man/pacy smaller striker combination more, so I would have Madine on the bench and play Nouble and Jackson up front.

I can see where you're coming from, for me nouble isn't that type of target man that you play off, he likes to drop out wide and drop deep to turn and run, he's not a flick on/chest down/lay off type of striker. At present we get a fair amount of crosses in, but then only personal attacking them is 5ft9 McQoid. I'd play madine because I think we lack strikers that want to operate in the box, and I think he would do that for us.

Although he had a nice cameo when he came on, Jackson needs to show more when he starts games. He doesn't look like someone who's played in the top flight.

Why would we want to move O'Brien back into the middle? He's naturally a winger and had our best game for us on Saturday playing on the right

"Leyton Orient are a good side and they're going to come good at some time.
"I can play either in a back three or a 4-4-2.
"I've not played 3-5-2 that many times but I'm sure we will work on it if the manager goes back to it at any stage."

3-5-2 gone for good.

Yes agree. Madine and Jackson would be a better combination in terms of target man, pacy striker alongside, but there's no way on God's earth you can drop Nouble after last week.

Gary Madine is only here for a month so he will definitely start and I think he will score. However, I predict a draw. Cannot see three strikers on in an away game unless we are 2-0 down at half-time.

Anyone who's picked Thomas will need to reconsider as he's suspended tomorrow.

Tbf Wingy, I thought we were just talking about the general starting 11 if everyone's available on this thread, not specifically tomorrow's match.

Easily done, there's a Thomas out formation thread, madine signed formation threat, a Willis/Phillips out thread and an leyton orient line up thread!!

another reason why we should have been looking at a midfielder for a month and not the 6th striker
