Talks were being had for many months. As I said before, Albion didn't want to let go in January, which was understandable due to league position. I heard the player was keen to get things done.
One thing I do know, DK won't be held to ransom, if a fee can't be agreed then we will move to another target. As I always said, my only reason for posting was to point out that we were not targeting the likes of Windass.
I think someone took the comments from here and made a much bigger deal than needed to be on Twitter. It was never imminent, no medical took place, that was all nonsense.
The trouble is, when giving out snippets of information, if it doesn't materialise, people just say 'oh we were never in for them', 'it was all bullshit' etc etc. People get angry for some reason if moves don't come to fruition. That's football, not everything works out. We have other targets, we are making smart investments.
