American's are dramatic.

They play 3 games and it is Murderer's Row!

Isnt it more aimed at the teams they are playing rather than just because it is 3 in a week?

None of those players is a 20 goal a season striker imo. McBean ultimately is an unknown. I hope he can be. Sordell is also unknown if he will ever become that player with all the potential in the world.

Problem is this season after August you can't loan anyone till Jan. Mogga has to get it right in the next few weeks.

So it begs the question why are we signing them If they can't score them all for 1 player or across 4 players.

Why did we sign Manset, Henderson, Hunt and Josh Mcwank?

Because the manager didn't know what he was doing

Speaking of Canadians, when are we supposed to be signing that Caolan Lavery fella?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but

"The Telegraph understands the forward, would be initially viewed more as a development player to earn a place in the first team rather than a ready-made starter in Tony Mowbray’s side."

We need players that'll play in the 1st team now!

It's good to have players to develop, but right now our focus needs to be getting the current team sorted.

Priorities look all wrong if McBean isn't meant to be for the first team. I know it sounds ridiculous to complain that we're signing someone, but especially as it's a loan anyway, it sounds fucking stupid at this point in time.

Yeah, that's the odd thing. Can cope with the likes of G. Thomas not being up to speed as he's, well... ours, so if he improves then we get to see it.

What's the point of signing a loan who ends up being a reserve or fringe player?!?

Yeah, he also said the same about kwame Thomas. So that leaves sordell and Tudguy as 2 senior strikers and thomas, Thomas and mcbean as developmental. Then Reid who has played as a winger for majority of his career m

I wouldn't mind it generally if it was a view to a permanent signing like Jones, but at the moment it's completely the wrong time to be sorting out shit like this.

The first team needs some serious work and the season has already started. Little strange.

Why are we wasting a loan on someone who is for the under 21's?

Nothing against the lad but we need first team players

Arma could have been a waste of a loan last season as he could have been totally shit, hopefully TM will throw the new lad in at the deep end and hope for the best

If that's the case then, 'the holding out for better targets' has got to be bullshit hasn't it?

We could have got a player in of that standard at any time. (Not judging him on nothing, just on TM's comments about him being a development player in the U-21's).

Its not actually a quote or comment from TM, its the telegraph understands. Wouldn't surprise me if they made it up just to get this reaction.

In which case I will take back what I said until it's confirmed in more detail by the manager.

I thought from the earlier comments on this thread that those words were said by TM himself.

The U21s thing makes no sense. Why would we take someone on a six month loan that won't be up to playing in the first team while here?

I'm sure TM said the same about Jones and he was in the team within a week.

If he's played regularly, he will score goals. But if he is brought on in the 80th minute when we are two down (Mowbrays normal tactic), he'll be a disappointment.

However, at such a tender age, and with the majority of his appearances during the 2015/16 League Two campaign coming via the substitutes bench, you'd expect Jones to be a fixture of Coventry City Under-21s for the 2016/17 season.

That's what the telegraph said when he signed on loan.

I'm not a Twitter user but while googling jack mcbean I seen this, it may shed some light on the quote of he's a development player.... I've no idea of the tweeter or its validity tho.

I think if there is any deal to be made it could be a 6 month loan with the option of a permanent deal. McBean isn't in LA Galaxy's first team picture at the moment therefore it could be a possibility.

Whilst it's not set in stone that there is a permanent deal lined up at the end of the loan I think it must have been considered by TM and MV otherwise why would he just be used for the development team? We need to buy for the future just as we have to buy for now. It's all dependant on whether LA Galaxy will want to agree to this as he's obviously doing extremely well for their second team.

He has scored 15 in 17 outings, but I think it was US_Skyblue that said the USL league is non league/conference standard at absolute best.

Still, if he's in form at the moment get him hitting the ground running straight away. He could be like a duck to water for sure.

I think i prefer this kind of signing...someone who is banging them in at a lower level and wants to make the step up. Rather than people on the way down the other way or players trying to realize potential that they've not lived up to

He's a NY Times sports writer and radio guest here and there. A good source.

All makes sense now. Will be the Jodi Jones kind of deal where you get them into the club to see how they fit in and then buy at the end.

Sadly the player will be more like Cobi Jones.
