Can we give Landon Donovan a go for the second half of the season? Wasn't he reported as being one of the next best things? Or was that just football manager?

Landon Donovan did well for Everton during the MLS close season.

He is getting on but if Joe Cole can entice him over to us, they could both do a job.

I believe Landon Donovan has retired. He wants to become a TV pundit. He's actually very good at that, always has very insightful comments and obviously knows the game very well. It's years since he played for Everton. He's easily the best player the US has ever produced. But that idiot Klinsmann froze him out.

Landon was retired but he came out of retirement for the last few games of the MLS season when LA Galaxy had injuries. He's more than good enough for L1 but I would imagine wages would be an issue.

I'd imagine putting aside his preferred career as a pundit, moving to England and playing in league 1 would be much more of an issue than his wages.

Potentially going to have Ibrahimovic as a strike partner at La Galaxy!

Still think McBean could do a job in League 2.

Think so too, but I'm hoping this Moorhouse lad could be a prospect. Promising early signs.

From what I saw of him he looked like a low level non league player dumped into pro football.

I have seen McBean play several times. He's absolutely hopeless, definitely not L1or L2 standard I'm afraid.

Got to be one of the biggest mysteries of last season...what on earth was the point in that set up?

They get to develop a player, give them experience elsewhere, and in exchange they give us cash and/or smooth other transfers that may occur/have occurred.

Apparently 'tearing it up' for Gillingham. They expect big things from him.

I saw part of the Manchester United vs LA Galaxy game on TV tonight. Manchester United won 5-2. McBean came on in the second half for LA Galaxy. He did nothing of note though LA Galaxy showed some spark in the second half drawing it 2-2 (it was 3-0 at HT).

I was at the game. First half was ManUre's first team against Galaxy's reserves. The second half saw more of Galaxy's first team playing. McBean was garbage as usual although not as bad as Nathan Smith at right back.
