With what I have just had a quick read on the two threads about accounts and ACL's not appearing too bad, will we now get a hastily prepared press release about the new stadium? Maybe Labovitch saying plans 3 weeks away?

Just read that Brentford's plans for a new ground go up for approval anytime now. They started the process in 2002.
And it is 20,000 capacity. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd envy Brentford fans.

How many days is it since they said they would originally announce it now?

The fans forums where Fisher said we would have all the details in a couple of weeks were at the start of June.

Why, do you seriously think there is any chance at all that they will build a new ground? They are totally holding out for the best deal they can get to go back to the Ricoh!

I apologise in advance for this, but I couldn't resist and it only took 20 seconds to make.

Forgive me.

Expect this sort of drivel
1. The stadium project is in its early months and there's an awful lot to do at once.
2. Something had to be done and this is the right way to achieve it. We will listen to the fans.
3. The idea is good but the time is not ripe. But is standard business practice.
4. The proposal to purchase land has run into technical, logistic and legal difficulties which are being sorted out.
5. The fact we have no money is just the fans understandably doubting our credibility. We admit we have made mistakes but are now moving in the right direct.

So effectively the same as patting a dog on the head then shaking a set of keys to distract it.

(The future for Coventry City and, indeed, every football club is to own its own stadium and the revenues it generates.)

Really??? funny, I don't see a mad rush from other clubs for all the free land around the country, to build new stadia!!!

Maybe that's why the location of ours is Top Secret "Eyes Only".

Just look down the end of the Yellow Brick Rd as it goes into Never,Never Land, that's where it's hiding.

Absolute load of bullshitting fookers.
